Chapter 41

Damon's POV:

It's early morning and I am sitting here watching over Melissa. There's something lurking in the darkness, but I can't see it. I will find it. It will not hurt my beloved. I hear something coming from our room. I take a quick look inside and I see Melissa waking up. I walk over to her, and look her in the eyes.

"Did you sleep well, love?"

"My neck hurts a little, but I'm okay. What happened last night?"

"Well, I bit you?"

"You did?! When did this happen!"

"When you asked?" I chuckled.

"Stop laughing! I don't remember asking you to do that!"

"Well you did, and I finally did it."

"Well, thank you. Am I a full vampire?"

"Answer this question, are you hungry?"

"Well, my throat burns a lot!"

"Well, you're hungry." I unbuttoned my shirt a little and pulled a knife out and cut a small spot on my chest. I pulled her face to the spot and she took to the blood easily.

"Just drink I'll let you know when you need to stop." About ten minutes go by and I start feeling weak. I pulled her off and she understood.

"Thank you Damon." She said wiping the blood from her mouth. She looked even more amazing now that all her inner beauty was showing through her human beauty. I loved her regardless what she looked like. She pulled me from my thoughts with a gasp.

"What, love?"

"Stefan and Justine are getting married today! I can hear them getting ready!"

"Should we ask if they want us to go with them? Or just go and give them congrats?"

"Both!" She ran out of the room. I chased after her.

"Stefaaaaan! I called as I opened the door.

"I feel that you've changed Melissa into a vampire last night?" Justine showed up in the doorway.

"Melissa! You're a vampire!" They hugged each other with the super human strength they both now possessed. Justine's was fading but not to much.

"Yes I am!" Melissa's face was lit up.

"Well, we're here to say..." I started until Stefan finished.

"To get us congrats, and to ask if we want you to come along?"

"Well, yes." I sallowed hard. I was close to blowing up on him. I heard a thump on the floor by the window. I looked up and it was Stefan's old friend, Shawn.

"Who is that?" Justine asked crazed looking.

"Justine it's okay. It's my old friend Shawn."

"Oh hey!" He bolted across the room to Justine.

"Hi..." She said.

"I'm Shawn. You must be the lovely Justine that Stefan has not told me anything about." He smiled a devilish smile. I was always scared to be around after that smile came out on him. I always left before anything happened.

"Melissa & I are going to leave now. Call me if you want us to come with you."

"Bye Damon & Melissa." Shawn called to us. I have no idea what is going to happen.

Melissa's POV:

All my senses are so new to me. I was so confused as to what happened to me! I love it though. Oh I can hear the butterfly fluttering by! Wow, ADD much? Oh well, I love Damon. That Shawn guy kind of scares me. Oh well. Peace out of this mind homies! :D
