Justine's POV:

I was walking around the room for a good hour waiting for the wedding to start. I heard a faint knock on the door and called for whoever it was to come in. The door opened a few inches and someone stepped. Patrick was in the room with me.

"How are you..woah." He said once he turned around.

"What? You don't like it? Oh, god! I look ugly don't-"

"Justine, you look stunning." He said as he pulled me into a tight embrace. I sat there feeling peaceful, and calm. I finally pulled away.

"Thank you." I said smiling weakly.

"You're welcome beautiful." He gave me a brilliant smile.

"Patrick, can I ask you something?" He sat on the bed and let out a sigh.

"Why I made you fall in love with Stefan?"

"Yeah.."

"You were a weak, pure, and innocent human. I was a strong, impure, a guilty vampire. I anted you to actually live life to the fullest and not get mixed up in the gang of vampires I was in. They targeted people like you. That is why. I still love you, and this wedding is killing me. I should be the one standing at the end of the aisle. I shouldn't be in here now.

"I belong out there.... I'm sorry Justine." He jumped up and held me close seeing the tears threating to fall.

"I l-l-lo-love y-yo-yo-you."

"I love you to, Justine. But I am not the one you are meant to be with anymore. I want you to cheer up and be glad you found a great guy that will never hurt you, or let anyone hurt you." I smiled into his shoulder. I knew he felt it. He was rubbing my back with his hands going in circular motions. I really did love him, but Stefan was the man for me.

Patrick's POV:

This is the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my entire life, besides having to let Justine go to love someone else. I wish I can go back to that day so bad, and change it, to stop myself and say it will be the biggest mistake of your life to let her go.

"Justine, I wish you could be mine again."

"I know Patrick, but I can't. You have made me move on to really be in love with someone else. I wish we can go back to that day and change it, and make you see that you made a mistake, but you can't and neither can I."

"I know, I know. I was just thinking that. I wish I could save myself the heartache. Come on, love. You need to get outside. Stefan is waiting for us."

"Us?"

"Hello, I'm the best man..."

"Oh, yeah." She gave a weak chuckle. I could see in her eyes that she was second guessing herself already.

"Justine, you are doing the right thing. I know you are."

"Thank you." She gave me her brilliant smile and it was a true one. I led her out of the room and out into the walk way that the wedding party was waiting for her. I turned around, gave her a big hug, and looked into her eyes.

"You are doing the right thing Justine. I know you are." I gave her one of my rare, but loving smile.

"Thank you, Patrick. Now, go out there and make sure my groom doesn't faint." I gave a light chuckle, and walked away. I gave a wave to Damon and Melissa as I walked away.

"Stefan!" I called looking at him sitting in a seat facing where he should be getting ready to stand.

"Patrick, I am scared."

"Scared of what?" I had to hold back a growl because I just wanted to kill him.

"That she doesn't love me, and that she loves you." My face softened, and I sat down next to him.

"She loves you. I promise you. I talked to her, and she is ready for this wedding to happen."

"Is she really?" His eyes lit up as I told him the truth.

"Yes, she is. Now, let's go into the ballroom as we wait for your guest to fill in." About an hour later all the guest were here. Stefan walked out and stood, I walked out afterwards and stood next to him. Melissa and Damon walked out with their arms were linked. Then the music for Justine to walk out started to play. I took in a deep breath and looked up. This is the day I will lose my little princess forever.
