"WILL!"
My body bursts to life, gasping for air I concentrated on my breathing.
In, out, in, out-
"Ali?" Will bursts into my room. "Are you OK? What happened?"
"I think it was just a nightmare." I tell Will.
"Well, what was it about?" Will asks me whilst sitting on the end of my bed.
I sit up.
"They were chasing us, the things, like before but instead of one there were hundreds-"
"Where were we?" Will asks.
"There was a sign- Atlanta."
"Was mom and dad there?"
"No it was just us. We were running down a huge road with them following us, but I tripped and you tried to pick me up but it was too late to try, you sacrificed yourself- for me." I tell Will trying not to tear up.
"It sounds awful." He tells me whilst hugging me. "Let's go downstairs, the family is here."
I nod.
I push the duvet off myself and then drop my feet down to the ground and grab the cup of water from my bedside table, there was just a little left at the bottom so I drank the rest of it.
I put the cup back down then walk out the door following Will.
He walks downstairs slow enough that I can catch up.
"What do we do?" I hear my dad.
We walk to the room in which the talking is coming from, still walking behind Will.
"Who are these people?" Will asks, I was thinking the same thing.
"Oh, hi guys I didn't see you there." My dad replies obviously ignoring Will's question so I ask him again;
"Who are these people?"
There was the family we met before, the mom, the dad and the little girl was holding her mom's arm like a rag doll. There was also my mom and dad.
But there was a man, a woman and a boy, who looked about Will's age.
The man looked angry, the woman looked scared but it didn't seem to be scared at us, she seemed scared at the man, the boy looked confident, too confident- cocky almost.
"Well, we don't really kn-"
"I'm Jonathan." The boy says in a really cocky tone.
"Well, hi Jonathan, I'm Nick and this is Shaun" My dad says pointing to Shaun. "and this is-" he gets interrupted.
"I'm Eddie and this is my wife Angela." The dad moves forward and pushes his wife along with him, she looks scared of him and uncomfortable.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Jessica, I'm Nick's wife, would you like something to drink Angela?" My mom says something to break the silence
"Erm well ye-" Angela begins to speak but was interrupted.
"I would love one, but Angela has had enough today." Eddie says obnoxiously.
My mum actions Angela to come over and they both go to the kitchen, she looks happier now she's away from that man. I can understand why.
