Is it hard to love someone who doesn't love themselves? Or to love someone given their style of hair, the types of clothes that they wear or even the scars on their body? Or is it just hard to love someone who isn't quite whole, who can't be put back together because of how many times they have been shut down and had been turned away from?
She's not yet done with life my darling. You have to be patient with her. Kiss her softly and hold her delicately. Make her feel like she belongs, not like she doesn't. Don't hurt her fragile soul. Tell it to come out of hiding. Don't break her heart. It's only hanging by a thread. And above all things, love her scarred up life.
