Normal POV
Natsu and Lucy started walking to the cafeteria. When they headed inside, everyone was klooking at them, as if they thought it was wrong, but then soon after went back to eating.
Lucy's POV
I feel so uncomfortable walking in the cafeteria, everyone was looking at us. Some of the girls were even giving me glares when they saw me.
As if reacting to this I gripped Natsu's hand tighter and he noticed.
It's gonna be ok. He said reassuringly. That made me calm down a little bit.
We got to a table and sat down.
Want me to get you some food Luce?
S-Since when d-did y-you start c-calling me Luce? I asked stuttering.
It's your nickname silly. Natsu said with this grin on his face.
His smile is so cute, it's actually making me happy, what I haven't been feeling ever since school started. I thought in my head.
So, food? Natsu asked bringing me out of my thoughts.
Sure, thank you. I said with a small smile on my face.
Natsu's POV
She smiled, she actually smiled!!! She must be starting to get comfortable around me now. I'm so glad. I thought in my head.
Ok, gotta get her food. I head over to the food and fills the tray with some yogurt and fruit.
She'll like this. I said to myself. As I was leaving the line to head back to Lucy, I see a bunch of people facing the direction of Lucy's and my table being quiet. I look in that direction and see Lucy, soaking wet, and that same girl that told me horrible things about Lucy in art class, holding an empty cup upside-down dripping over Lucy's beautifully golden head.
I don't know why you think you can talk to natsu you loner. I called him and you don't even deserve him, he needs someone that could make him look good and would give him a grew reputation in school. You would only bring him down and ruin his chances, on his first day of school too. You are a worthless nobody so STOP trying to bring him down to your level. Lissana said infuriated.
Lucy didn't even Sa anything to defend herself. She just stayed quiet, stayed soaking wet, and listened to the utterly pointless crap that that girl is telling her.
I was angry, no INFURIATED!!!!! I walked over to my table, everybody taking their eyes off of Lissana and all onto me, wondering what I'm gonna do.
What the hell gives you the right to tell this girl right here that she doesn't deserve me! That she has no chance! THAT SHE IS WORTHLESS!!!!!!! I yelled at Lissana with pure hearted anger, trying not to lose control and have my dragon features show.
Natsu. Lissana said innocently. I'm just trying to not let her bring you down to her level on your first day of school, I should have warned you about her when I first saw you but I waited too long. She doesn't belong in this school being seen hanging out with people like us.
I look behind her and see Lucy silently crying so that no one would notice her doing it, but because of my dragon hearing, I heard one of her tears that should never have been created to fall down and hit the floor.
Listen well because I am only going to say this once. I said in a low, threatening voice. I don't care about being popular, I don't care about the school's system, and I don't care about you. The only thing I care about is this girl that had to deal will your freaking annoying attitude on her for a long time.
