My sister and I looked at our therapist and confessed our obsession. . . To Starbucks, hoping that somehow they could help our prescribe us coffee and tea patches or somthing. The thing is, that mermaid is the love of my life, along with my husband of course.
"Y'Know how people slam their faces into cakes on their birthdays? That's what I do multiple times a day,but with Starbucks" I spoke to Pam, the specialist.
"If I don't have enough tea in a day I look like a fucking tweaker going through withdrawals," Lillyee said shaking seeing as our husbands Mike and Vic wouldn't let us go to Starbucks this morning.
I don't know how our lives became this way, in the mornings before school we'd go get a cup of coffee or tea like every other zombified college student. Then it became during lunch, after school, and even 2am runs for passion fruit lemonade tea to get rid of that crave for a cold drink with a great flavor in the middle of the night. After collage it became even worse.
"When did you first get into Starbucks?" Pam questioned.
" Age 8 we went every once in a while" I spit out. "Our mother occasionally took us in as children to get warm apple juice or hot chocolate but as we grew older we were able to get coffee and all different types of it at that" Lillyee told our story.
"Our husbands are threatening to leave us because of our addiction, I really do love Victor though," I smiled
"For Mike, I'd try to stop going everyday, and i will try. . . maybe" Lillyee claims.
"I love Ashleh a lot and i would never leave her, but if i threaten to leave her maybe she will calm down with her Starbucks fetish." Vic admits to the therapist when she questioned him after we were asked to leave the small room momentarily.
I don't believe that i have a problem and i didn't think it would come this far but i love my drinks okay what is a girl going to do out here, 'its a crazy fucked up world and we're all just waiting for someone who can walk on water' a quote from heroin bob, and its true.
"Lills obsession with Starbucks is like my obsession with my career, i don't want to stop her from doing what she loves because i know she would never stop me, but she needs to cool it down a bit a least" Mike spits at Pam.
"Well gentlemen I will try my best to get both of your wives to limit or even stop they're trips to Starbucks" Pam says to the boys. "Thank you very much" the boys say in unison.
As Vic and Mike walk out of the room with Pam waving goodbye Lillyee and I rush to them questioning them about what Pam had told them. "She is going to get both of you help" Vic tells us. "But right now to clam both of you down we will go to Starbucks and get you a drink, BUT only a tall and it will be just a tea" Vic states. As Lillyee and i whimper at the limitation of our drink choices we out at least glad we get something.
