Cold War Time-Period.

Song:Russians by Sting

You heard bombs going off in a nearby city to the American base, but the only thing you were worried about were the Russians. Your little boy was sent off on a visit to his father,Ivan Braginsky, when atomic bombs soon started flying close to the military base that you worked in nowadays for America.

The base responded to threats of the Soviets, even Ivan, you ex-husband,had threatened America that he would kill his entire country off,not excluding you from that list of Americans. These lowly days were the days of war,one you hoped your son would survive somehow and be free from his father's people.

The leader,Mr. Krushchev had threatened all of the military to death, literally. He had personally sent you a memo saying that he would kill Ivan and torture him if America was not convinced to surrender to the Soviets and Russia's power. You sent back that you would not, obviously;you only cared about the life of your little boy.

Ivan cried that night more than he'd ever cried before. The Americans and his people were ignorant, and he did not want a fight like they did. His little boy was tucked in and in bed when he prayed to any God that was real they would not fight.

His son's life was truly on the line when Oppenheimer created a deadly machine of war and killing. His son did not know of any wars happening, but soon would need to know for his own health, protection, and well-being.

The political workers were going crazy, but could not make some Russians fight. Their families' and their own lives were on the line, why not let them at least die how they want? The other Russian leaders did not understand why,Ivan did.

America's face grew more serious each day as Russia was insulted, called an alien by him. Somewhere deep inside,Y/n knew that America did not want a war, either. They'd been close friends for a while, maybe she could talk it over with him?

Mr. Reagan had told the people of the safety that would be given, but none believed that in this war zone, they would truly be safe along with their families. The president spoke insuring words, but the war had gone on too long to believe they could truly win. It was all a lie wasted on them.

America didn't want any death but Reagan's words still did not convince him there would be none. Y/n's son was older, now. Ivan had not grown any older, but his ex-wife had retired from the military, and his son was Soviet. Why them? Why not anyone else?
