Allow me to introduce....

As I walked through the doors, a  strong aroma of coffee immediately hit me. I sighed at the pleasure the familiar scent brought me. I scanned the room for the person I was looking for, but decided to order my coffee while I waited.

"Can I have a pumpkin caramel latte please ? Thank you." I smiled at the waiter, who clearly was having a bad day. I looked at the clock. He was ten minutes late. I should've know this was going to happen. It always does. So, to keep my mind busy, I started reading.

I got lost in the story of young love. How the boy charms the girl, and it's love at first sight. Boy, how I wished for that.

While I was too into my book to hear the café doors open, I hadn't noticed he came in.

He came up behind me, and quickly grabbed at my shoulders, causing me to jump. I whipped my head around to see who had scared me .

"Honestly Jason ?" I playfully slapped his arm.

"Just having a little fun, El. You should try it sometime, instead of having your nose stuck in a book all day." I shot him a glare.

He leaned down and gave me a quick peck on the lips, then glanced down at the coffee cup next to me.

"You ordered without me ?" he asked, almost seeming, hurt.

"Uh, yeah, Jace, you're" I glanced at the clock. "forty five minutes late for our coffee date." He gave me a sheepish smirk.

"I'm sorry babe, you know how it is, I've been busy." Of course, he pulls the busy card on me, like always.

I brushed a strand of hair away from my face, and let out a sigh. Clearly expressing my annoyance.

"If you had been here on time, we could have actually had our date." I picked up my latte, and stood, ready to leave.

"Ella, babe, come on ! I can make it up to you, please ." Oh no Jason, not this time .

"I'm sorry Jace, I've got to head back to school, my lunch is almost over." He gave me the puppy dog eyes. Oh how I hated that look. I got closer to him, and wrapped my arms around his neck, standing on my tiptoes. I gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Alright, fine." He finally gave in .

"Thank you," I said with a smirk, "I'll talk to you later." I gave him one last quick peck, and fast walked out the door. Oh how I hope I won't be late to class...

I sprinted back into the school doors, only to realize I still had ten minutes until my classes started back up. Thank god for study hall.

I threw my now empty cup into the trash, and went into the girl's bathroom. My god, was my hair atrocious. That's exactly why I don't run. I pulled my brush out of my purse, and tried my best to get my hair to a normal looking state.

I have thin, blonde hair. Not bleach blonde, but not dirty blonde, kind of in between. I'm not drop dead gorgeous, but I'm not ugly either. My eyes are a cross between green and blue. So I guess you would say I'm kind of an In-between-girl.

I adjusted my shirt, so my cleavage wasn't spilling out.  As I finished freshening up, I began to hear people outside in the halls, telling me that class just got out. I put my brush back in my bag, and zipped up my backpack, and gave myself one last mirror check before heading out the door to my next class.

"Mom ! Dad ! I'm home !" I yelled as I walked through my front door. My dogs Bailey and Annabelle ran to the door to greet me.

"Hey girls, how ya doin'?" I asked as I patted them each on the head.

"MOM !!! DAD!!! " Still, no answer. That's weird...

I walked into my kitchen, nobody. Hmm, that's really really weird...

I decided to brush it off. May as well go for a run to clear my mind.

I went upstairs to my room, and put on a pair of black yoga pants, and a yoga tank, pink of course, which is my favorite color. I threw my hair up into a quick ponytail, and grabbed my ipod and headphones. I jogged down the stairs. Why on earth do I feel the need to run, if I hate running ?

I headed out my front door, and started for the woods behind my house. My music was blaring, and I was breathing heavily, to the point where I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings. About a half hour in, I got a strange feeling in the pit of my stomach, and I paused my music, leaving my headphones in. I could hear myself breathing, and the sound of rustling fall leaves underneath me. Before I knew it, I tripped over absolutely nothing, and came tumbling down, hard, onto my stomach, barely catching myself with my palms.

"Ouch !" I winced in pain. I tried to stand, but had somehow managed to twist my ankle. I figured that I should rest for a bit, then I'll continue. I'll just give my ankle a rest.

All of a sudden, the hair on the back of my neck stood up. And I heard a stick crack behind me. I froze, and slowly turned my head around to see what was behind me.

I swallowed a scream, as I looked into the eyes of a beast, just feet away from me. I swore under my breath. I could feel my heart practically pounding out of my chest. Only feet from my face, was a giant and dirty black wolf. His eyes were a deep shade of hazel, and he had a scar across his left eye, and a chunk was missing out of his ear. I heard a deep growl come from his chest. I swore again. I couldn't take my eyes off of him, but at the same time, I wanted to look away, and pretend it was all a dream. I just had a feeling of pure terror, in the pit of my stomach. As I went to stand up, so that I could run, my ankle rolled again, and I came right back to the ground, landing on my butt. At that exact moment, the wolf lunged forward, pinning me down underneath his massive paws. I was trapped. This is it, I thought to myself. Then, everything went black.
