Chapter 1 - Tyler
"This," I said as I gazed out the window into the small moonlight town in Tennesse, "is where we are going to live?"
"Yeah! It's great! You will love the school and everything about this town country boy!" My dad said. You see my life has been... difficult you could say. My mother left for some reason when I was four, and I haven't seen her since. A week ago I lived in Florida, but a hurricane came and swept our house away. My father decided to take us to Tennessee for I don't even know.
Finally we arrived at our new house after a twelve hour drive. My dad and I hopped out of the car, got our bags and entered our new house. Our town was small but really nice. Our house had three floors, not counting the finished basement. Quickly we set up my bed cause it was 11:00pm and I had school tomorrow. "Get some sleep kiddo," dad said and ruffled my light brown hair. I lat my head on the soft pillow an instantly fall asleep.
BRIIIIIIINNNNGGGGGG! The bell rang and the school doors opened. Kids shoved and pushed each other around. Although we lived in Tennessee now, it is not as I expected it. No cowboys or farms or anything. Just a rich town. I was a freshman in high school so I was fifteen. I looked around at the crowds of kids as I walked down the hallways. There were kids sagging, showing of their boxers to the girls, couples kissing and hugging, the sports teams and everything. The third door on the right was the place I was looking for, the principle's office. I walked in and said "Excuse me! Im a new student and need my locker and schedule please."
A bald man with thick glasses sitting in a leather chair spoke with a deep voice "Nice to meet you! Name please?"
"The names Tyler Shaw"
He searched his computer for my name and finally replied "Locker six-seventy! Good luck kid." The principle printed my schedule and handed it to me.
"Thank you!" I said smiling. I turned to leave when a boy with tan hair walked in. He stared at me and mumbled something. 'Weirdo' I thought. The ran haired boy turned around and sprinted out the door down the hallway. The principal didn't seem confused our anything. Whatever. My first class was Math. I navigated the halls and walked into class just before the bell rang. The whole class was a lecture about polygons. Yay. BRRIIIINNNNG! The bell sounded and all the kids scattered, and the teacher walked into the hall. Someone taped me on the shoulder. I quickly turned around and found the tan haired boy from earlier in the principal's office.
"Hey!" He said excitedly
"Hey man," I said to him. "Im Tyler Shaw."
"Nice to meet you Tyler. I'm Ren"
"What is this? Footloose?" I asked jokingly.
He broke out in song. "Now ya gotta cut loose, foot loose kick of your Sunday shoes - no. This is not a musical. Your one of us. There's two others here. Girls."
"Um...excuse me?"
"You're a Contrilee."
Chapter 2 - Tyler
Contrilee. The word Ren called me. I searched it in the dictionary, online and nothing came up.
A week passed and a lot had changed in a week. I hadn't seen Ren at all. My dad made some new friends who were all about 27 cause my dad is 27. They would party at my house a lot of nights and crash at my place... so I went to the library everyday until nine o'clock at nigh. I looked and looked for "Contrilee" but couldn't find it. I even asked the librarian. She didn't know it. So I packed up my books and left the library. Tomorrow I would find Ren. The long walk home was enjoyable. I walked through the little rich town. Almost every house was a mansion, like mine.
