There I was. April and I gossiping like normal with magazines and pizza strewn across my bedroom carpet. Minding my own business.
"OK so...I was standing in the quad and I had just come out of trig right?" I giggled. April was watching me with excited eyes.
"Wait, just came out of trig? I was with you straight after--" she'd caught on to what had happened, "You were keeping this from me for a whole 5 hours!"
I was about to tell her the full story but she wasn't in front of me anymore. I was standing in the quad where Erik had asked me to the Spring Dance. It was dark, practically pitch black. Which was weird for almost 9 at night.
It wasn't the first time I'd gone somewhere. The first time was at my uncle's bar-mitzvah. I was thinking about what Daniel's party would be like and then I was there. The party wasn't very good anyway.
The moves came gradually then more frequently. All it took was thinking about a place too hard and I was there. I hadn't told April about it but I had just zapped out of my own home. I think that'd require some explaining when I got back.
I was still buzzing from all the excitement. Finally I'd gotten the attention of Erik, whom I've been crushing on since middle school.
Surprise, surprise. Guess where I was. I heard heavy footsteps coming towards whatever room I was in. I dove for cover behind a bed.
"Yeah OK." I heard Erik shout as he walked into -what must've been- his room. Oh great. That doesn't sound stalker-ish at all. What if he found me. What would I say?
'Oh, hey, didn't see you there. I was just thinking about you and now I'm in your bedroom.' Smooth move muchacho.
I could only see his feet as he walked around his room. He was picking up items of clothing. I heard a faint 'now!' being shouted from another room.
"I said OK!" Erik shouted back. He was reaching down for something so close to me. Almost touching my hand.
This is so not the time for that right now. I scolded myself. My house. April's house. The school. Narnia. Anywhere but here.

Phew! "That was close." Hang on a sec, why would Erik say that?
Unless...."Ah ha! What are you doing under there? Sam c'mon outta there." I wasn't sure what I would tell him. Its not like I could just come out and say:
"Well I think I might be a traveller. You know, the kind that think of a place and then they are immediately transported there."
I might have forgot to mention this earlier, I have a habit of saying my thoughts out loud. And that gets really annoying. I guess thats why Erik has a shell shocked look upon his face. Oops.
