CHAPTER TWO: REALIZING THE FACT

“I broke up with, Marion. He’s having an affair with Natalie.” I said.

He hugged me.

“Ang sasama nila! Siguro matagal na nila kong niloloko!” Sigaw ko habang yakap parin niya ko.

“Let’s go. Wag dito.” He said while taking my right arm.

We headed to his car, inalalayan niya kong umupo sa passenger seat.

“Wanna go somewhere?” He asked.

“Please just take me home, Echo. I mean, sa condo ko.”

Umalis kami sa parking lot and we went to my place.

He opened the front door for me.

We sat on the couch.

I rested my head on his shoulder.

I’m crying again …

“What did they do?” He asked. His voice is really bitter. Hala! Galit siya.

Huminga muna ko ng malalim bago sumagot.

“I saw them two, kissing, sa may locker ni Natalie.” I’m still crying.

“Fck.” I heard him cursed. Hinampas ko yung dibdib niya.

“Wag ka ngang magmura!” I told him.

“Of all things, Misha! Yung pagmumura ko pa ang pinansin mo!” He hissed.

I just still rested my head on his shoulder. He’s playing with the strands of my hair.

Humikbi ako. Pagod na kong umiyak.

I can't even imagine na niloko ako ng best friend ko at ng EX-boyfriend ko.

“Hush, Misha.” He comfort me.

I drifted to sleep.

Echo’s POV

I hate seeing her like this.

She drifted to her sleep.

She’s really broken! Sabi ko na nga ba, walang magawang magaling yang, si Marion Tamayo na yan!

I carried her to her bed. Nung binaba ko siya.

Aalis na sana ko nang … she held my hand.

“Echo, I hate him.” She muttered while still sleeping. “Don’t leave me, please. Need you now.” She continued.

When she uttered that, my heart starts beating fast. Anong nangyayari sakin?

Humiga rin ako sa bed niya.

Umusog siya and she rested her head on my chest.

I don’t like her seeing like this, dapat ko siyang ilayo kay Natalie and Marion. They’re not good for her.

Misha’s POV

I woke up.

Tumingin ako sa side table.

It’s 12:03 pm?

Nakita ko si Echo, my childhood bestfriend.

“Are you okay?” He asked.

“Yeah.” I answered him. “What time tayo pumunta dito?” I asked him.

“We went here 7:32 am, nakatulog ka. Siguro napagod ka kakaiyak.” He said sarcastically.

“He doesn’t deserve your tears, Mish.” He continued.

“I know.” I smiled to him, he smiled back.

“Wanna go out for a lunch?” he asked.

“Yep.” I smiled.

I’m really glad that Echo’s here with me.

“Thanks, Reeve Echo Alvarez, for being here.” I said.

“I’m your friend since the very first day, Misha Annicka Jimenez.” Natawa ako sa sinabi niya.

“I’m glad you’re laughing now.” He said.

“Tara na nga. Drama mo, Echo.” I said.

“I’m serious!” He hissed.

“Oo na!” I hugged him. I kissed his left cheek.

“That’s for not leaving me.” I smiled.

I kissed his other side of his cheek.

“And that’s for being a good friend, Echo.” I smiled again.

He smiled playfully.

“I’m always here for you, Mish.” He said. Then, he kissed my forehead.

Gulat akong napapatitig sa kanya.

I’m not expecting him to kiss me.

Bakit parang bumilis yung heartbeat ko?

Hinampas niya yung noo ko.

“So, na-realized mo na bang sobrang gwapo ko?” He asked teasingly.

“Mukha mo!” I shouted to him.

“Gwapo.” He continued.

“Tara na nga! Gutom na ko.” Sabi ko habang nagsusot ng sahdes.

Namamaga yung mga mata ko ee.  Nagsuot din siya ng shades.

Tumingin ako sa salamin.

Shucks! Ang pangit ko!  I'm a mess! My hair! I Tinali ko siya in a messy bun.

He’s still laughing.

“Bahala ka nga diyan!” Lumabas na ko ng room.

“Wait, Mish! I’m just teasing you!” He run towards me.

“Oo na lang.” I replied.

I take his arm.

We went to the nearest restau.

When we’re there.

We saw someone.
