Chapter 21
It's been almost a week since the Friday night Mia drove me home, and for the most part things have been free of any major drama, but only because Mia refuses to even look at me.
I figured that after what she said that Friday she would stop ignoring me at least somewhat, but it's honestly gotten worse. When I walk into her classroom she manages to say 'Hi' to literally everybody but me, all she does is give me a quick nod and sends me on my way. She never calls on me when my hands raised, and I don't even catch her looking at me anymore.
She is clearly upset, but why exactly? Is she upset that I went out with her sister? It's possible, but I don't really think that's what it is. Denise assured me that she asked Mia multiple times if it was okay and she said it was.
So, maybe she's just ignoring me because I told her I didn't want to talk to her. But I mean does she honestly want or even expect me talk to her? I've only known her for a little over two weeks. Either way, I've only ever had so few people in my life that I can really talk to and that's not going to change just because she offers.
For whatever reason she's ignoring me it's getting a little ridiculous. I really don't like being ignored like this, and I've honestly had enough of it.
"You coming?" Shannon asks when the bell rings and I don't stand up.
"Yeah, just go ahead of me. I'll be there in a minute." I
She eyes me oddly, but says, "Okay!" before leaving.
I get up and shut the door when the last few people finally make their way out of the classroom.
"Is there something I can help you with, Ms. Davis?" she asks from her desk, never once looking up from whatever she's doing on the computer.
"Yeah you can tell me why the hell you've been ignoring me for over a week!" I say while sitting on top of the desk in front of hers.
"What makes you think I'm ignoring you? And watch you're language, Ms. Davis."
"Uh gee, maybe it's because you refuse to talk to me or call on me in class. Or maybe because you won't even fucking look at me right now."
"I said to watch your language! And just because I don't call on you in class it doesn't mean I'm ignoring you," she says while finally looking up at me. I however just roll my eyes in annoyance.
"Oh please! Don't lie to me and just tell me why you've been ignoring me. Is this about everything that happened last weekend? Are you upset that I went out with your sister?" I ask with a raised brow.
She just stares at me eyes slightly wide, she definitely seems shocked by what I said. "Ms. Davis I've told you that I'm not ignoring you," she says while she just noticibly shifts in her chair a little. "And I'm sure not upset that you went out with my sister. In fact I didn't even know that it happened," she clarifies.
While she was speaking I'm pretty sure I noticed a hint of jealousy in her voice when she mentioned her sister. Maybe this really is the reason she's been ignoring me after all. If she was upset about it why would she say it was okay in the first place? "Are you jealous that I went out with your sister?" I ask with a smirk.
Her eyes grow wider. "No! Of course not!" she says sounding appalled, but I don't buy it.
"You are! You are so jealous!" I say my smirk growing.
"Ms. Davis, this conversation is highly inappropriate. I think you should leave," she says while gesturing to the door.
I just shake my head as I hop off the desk I'm sitting on. I walk closer to her and lean my hip on the side of her desk next to where she's sitting. "Not until you admit you're jealous," I say and she seems slightly agitated. "However, there really is no need to jealous. If you want to have me again that badly, all you have to do is ask," I say seductively while leaning in closer to her.
I see her swallow, and a light blush forms on her cheeks. "Ms. Davis... I think you should really leave," she tries to say firmly, but her voice starts to fail her towards the end.
"Do you really want me to go?" I whisper.
She nods her head slightly, looking directly at me, and trying to appear unaffected. "Yes. I do."
"Are you sure?" I whisper while looking deep into her beautiful blue eyes.
"Very!" she chokes out.
"Alright!" I say and go to grab my bag and head towards the door. I turn around and look at her before opening it, just like I did last Monday. "I was serious though. If you want me all you have to do is say the word," I say with a smirk and quickly leave the room.
As I'm walking to my next class I wonder if she really was jealous. It's not like anything happened between me and Denise, did she really not tell her anything? Maybe not, I guess that would be a weird conversation to have with your sister. However, I'm still surprised that she didn't know a single thing. I don't expect them to compare notes, but for her to not have even mentioned she went out with me seems odd. Mia did seem slightly jealous or maybe she just didn't want to know about me and her sister, I guess it's probably just weirder for her than for me.
Well jealous or not one thing is pretty clear, Mia still wants me. Honestly, I was just messing with her in there, but I found myself getting pretty serious towards the end. She may be my teacher, but if she did actually want to sleep with me again, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have a problem with it.

"Why the hell would you say that?" Evan practically yells.
"Because I was mad that she was ignoring me," I say while shrugging my shoulders, not taking my eyes off the TV.
"So that was your solution to get her to stop ignoring you? Did you seriously think that accusing her of being jealous and then telling her she's welcome to fuck you anytime she wants, would help?" he asks in disbelief.
All I do is steal his bowl of chips and shrug my shoulders. "Yup!" I say, still not taking my eyes off the TV.
"Are you really that fucking stupid Avery?"
I groan and look at him. "Yeah I realize it was stupid, alright? But I was mad."
"Why would you be that mad at her for ignoring you?"
"I don't know. You know I don't like being ignored," I say, shrugging my shoulders again and turning my attention back to the TV.
"Yeah I know you hate being ignored. I remember the time you hit me when we were ten because I had been ignoring you for a whole day. I'm your brother though, and I expect you to act like that way around me. But really Avery?! She's your teacher for heaven's sake! Did you have to say that to her just because she was ignoring you?"
I just shrug my shoulders and refuse to respond.
"Or was it for some other reason than her ignoring you?" he suddenly asks and I turn to him with a raised brow. "You really do like her don't you?"
I let out a loud dramatic groan and throw my head back on to the couch. "Will you and Shannon stop fucking saying that? I've told you a million times that it's not like that. When will you people get it into your thick skulls?" I finish while giving him a dirty look.
He puts his hands up in a defensive position, causing me to roll my eyes. I just ignore him and bring my attention back to the TV. "Whatever you need to tell yourself Avery!" he says and I groan. "You do realize though that she is most definitely going to ignore you even more now, don't you?"
"I'm well aware!"
