"Get up, Emily! You have to get ready to go to human school," Emily's mom said, shaking Emily's coffin.

"All right, all right," Emily turned in her coffin trying to wake up. Emily's mom got up to get her clothes. She went through the neat pile of clothes Emily had set on her dresser the night before.

Emily could finally open her eyes enough so she can get up and get ready.
When Emily looked to see what her mom was considering, she saw that her mom left. Then her mom walked back into her room carrying a box.

What is that? Emily thought.

"So, I won't see you until school is out..." Emily's mom started.

"No, remember after school gets out I'll live with my dad for summer break,"

Emily corrected her. She was happy she would live with her dad for two months, he is King of The Vampires and he is always on the go, so he lives in a different house than her mom, even though they're still married.

Her mother then opened the box and took out a gorgeous outfit. A velvet long sleeve shirt with a knee length dark blue skirt. To set out off, her mother then took out black leather boots, that went just below the knee. Emily gasped at the thought of how much it costs. But then she seen that wide smile on her mother.

She made that, just for me! I can't wait to wear it!

"Wait for your first day of school to wear it," Emily forgot that her mom was a special vampire- not because she's the queen- that can read minds.

"Okay, mom," Emily looked sad as she packed her things.

The vampire council chose her to go to human school. She was nervous, but they chose her because she can keep the secret better than any of the vampire that's her age; they had to choose a seventh grader. There is something no vampire can do without raising suspension.

Trying to stay as far away as possible from garlic.

"Don't look so glum, Emily! Your leaving tomorrow, which means you can wear it tomorrow," her mom said, watching her pack her bag. Then her mom suddenly jumped when she seen her daughters bag.

"Emily!" She screech.

"Ah!" Emily jumped, tossing her clothes in the air. "What's wrong, mom."

"Your bag," she pointed a finger at her coffin-shaped bag," It's shaped like a coffin!"

"And?"

"Wouldn't a bag like that, add staying away from garlic, raise some suspicion?"

She's right! What was I thinking! I now have to find a bag that looks human.

"You do, that is why I got you this!" She reach once more into the box and pulled out a human bag that was dark purple.

Oh my G-O-U-L! It's gorgeous! She keeps on bring the WOW factor. Ha! I made joke in my mind.

"Don't use vampire-teenage-words in the human world. Make sure you are just like regular 12-year-old human," her looked at her, and with a simple glance, there was silence. Her mom got deeper in her thoughts, communicating in Emily's own mind.

Mom, I will act like a human. Emily told her.

No, it's not that, I know you will. I want to just talk.

Okay, talk away! Emily approved.
Don't forget, I love you with all my heart, don't forget that, princess, promise me you wont. Oh! And I have one more gift.

Another gift, mom?

Yes, my sweet, sweet Emily.

Her mom then pulled out a pinkish purple box out of her pocket. It was a new phone. Emily couldn't believe her eyes. Her mom told her that she would get a phone when she turned 16.

Oh, she wants to show me her new phone. Emily thought, remembering how her mother told her about the 16 rule.

Then silence filled the room. Emily's mom was out of her head. Not talking, in any way, mouth or mind. Emily glanced at her mom's face. Her face was filled with consecration. Emily then realized her mom was setting up the phone. Emily couldn't figure out why she was setting it up in her bedroom. Then another burst from her mom made her jump once again.

"Yes!" She yelled. Emily looked at her mom with a puzzled look. "Oh, I'm done setting up your phone"

Emily's mouth came ajar, and gasped.

"My phone!"

"Oh, I didn't tell you before our mind conversation ended."

"Oh my!" She was trying not to say ghoul,"goodness! Thank you times 10 million!" Emily then rushed over to her mom and gave her mom a big hug.

"Your welcome, will you text me if something happens?"

"Yes, mom."

"Can you promise me?"

"Yes, I fang scare swear," Emily sang. Her mom's face made her re think what she just  said, so Emily tried to figure out what a human would say.

"I mean I pinky swear," Her mom smiled, nodding in approval.

"Now you need to pack since you'll leave tomorrow. Fetch me once your done, we will go get you a hot fudge sundae," Emily's stomach churned at the thought of a hot fudge sundae. Since she was a princess, she couldn't have ice cream that much. Sad, Right?

Emily sat on her bedroom, bag in her lap. Emily was muttering things to herself things like "check," or "got it." Finally ,when she was done, she decided to orgize her things.

"I'm done, mom!" She yelled when she placed down the last neatly folded shirt.

"Okay, sweetie, um, change of plans,"

Emily stuck her head out the window and seen the car had broken down. Emily charged out of her room and ran down the stairs. Her mother had a smug look on her face.

She was joking!

"Yep! I had one delivered, here ya go!" She handed over one of the sundaes to Emily.

Emily ate all of the sundae within 5 minutes. Her and her mom sat there talking about how to do things and how much they will miss each other.
