'It's okay Aubrey. I'm coming.'
When will that girl stop crying for things? She's already three and I have enough to worry about as it is.
I walk into Aubrey nursery and see her pointing for a small brown stuffed animal on a shelf. I reach up and grab it.
'Here, Aubrey. Do you think you could be quite till lunch.? I'm working on my book and I need to concentrate.' I realized while talking that she can't understand me yet..
*sigh
'Want to come with mama?'
She reaches her hands up, this time pointing at me. I pick her up and move her brown messy hair out of her tear-soaked blue eyes.
'Come on, let's get you cleaned up and into some new clothes.'
I walk into the bathroom and put her down on the toilet, which has a blue cover with gold stripes matching the rest of the bathroom. I open the drawer designated just for hair brushes and ponytails. I grab a small pink brush.
Of course, she starts crying.. and I haven't even started.'Whats wrong? Don't you like having her hair brushed? Look, watch mommy.'
I take the brush and start to brush my own long blonde hair.
The cat walks in and I start to feel bad about what I'm about to do, but I do it anyway.
'Wanna see Ale get brushed?
I take the cat and start to brush his hair and put in little ponytails.
Aubrey starts to giggle and brush the cat with another brush from the drawer.
