Moala's POV
Today was amazing. Although it started off extremely early, which I wasn't particularly excited about, I had an astounding time. He took me hiking. It was way too early, and I wasn't in the mood for exercising, but when we got to the peak of our hike, the view was completely break taking. After the hike we went to
In-n-Out and gained back all the weight we had just worked off. By the time we were finished, it was already four o'clock. We both thought that it wasn't that late. We weren't even keep track of time, we were just talking and laughing together.
Brain- mmm-hmm. What happened to out plans? You can't even focus on your school work because he's the number one thing on your mind.
Heart- Oh shut up! Your just jealous she chose to listen to her heart than her brain!
My thought were completely jumbled and I was listening more to my heart.
As Mo was driving, music was playing and he was belting and singing his heart out on each song.
"No, no, no other love like yours! No, no, no other loving, loving yeah." He sang and he grabbed my hand. He kept glancing over at me trying to make eye contact, but also trying to keep his eyes on the road.
"I can take to the kingdom my lady! Put you on a crown if you ready! Never gonna leave you I'm staying girl, next to you because! Singing with me!!" Moroni urged.
"There is no other love! No other love like this, no!" I joined in. I started dancing to the song and I noticed his eyes were on me longer than usual.
"Focus on the road, Dummy! Your gonna kill us!" I said pushing his head forwards. Moroni chuckles
"Calm down! We're here anyways." We pull into my drive way and talked for a little longer. We were interrupted by my two sisters, Vaiola and Mele, along with my little cousin, Isabel.
"Hey!! Stop kissing!" Shouted Mele.
"Close your eyes! This is not good for us!" Vaiola said to them. She covers her eyes with her hands and Mele does as well.
"Moala, I didn't know you have a boyfriend!" Isabel said shocked. I turned over to Mo and said,
"That's my cue." I smiled and grabbed my stuff. I got out of the car and walked around to his side.
"I'll pick you up in an hour." He said
He leaned in for a kiss and all three of the girls ran back inside scared that we were going to kiss.
"Save it for the dance." I replied keeping him waiting.
"Aww, man your annoying!... I'm just kidding, I love you." I said back.
"Whatever." I laughed as I walked in and he drove off.
I ran upstairs and quickly got into the shower. I knew I only had a limited amount of time before the dance would start and Moroni would be here to pick me up. I washed everywhere on my body and shaved. I got out and quickly put on my dress. It was very bodycon like dress, with an embroidered, lace top. Once I was done with that, I took my time on my makeup and hair. I just finished up my eyebrows and my mom and aunty came rushing in. I had forgotten that they wanted to do my makeup. I sat up and they took it from there. As they finished up with my makeup, I could hear some one knocking on the door. My eyes immediately opened and I could hear his voice speaking.
"Hey, Moala! Your boooyyyfriiieennd is here! Oooo!" Vaiola announced. She giggled and was told by my mother to tell him that I'll be done in a little bit. My hair was pretty easy and I got I done fairly quick. I made sure to that I had everything needed. I walked down the stairs and my uncles and aunties wanted twenty pictures. It honestly took up so much time. Finally, we were finished with pictures. I said my see you laters, and we walked out the door. He hugged me so tight and lifted me a couple inches off the ground.
"You look amazing!" He exclaimed.
We got into the car and he was at it again with his off key singing. I loved it anyways because we were off key together.
We arrived at the school and made or way in. His arm was around my shoulder and we walked over to the table where Rachie was sitting at. He pulled out my seat for me and CJ approached me. He handed me some flowers and and a cute little Valentines day box. I set them aside and he took my hands to dance. I felt a little less uncomfortable knowing that Mo was here with me. CJ and I were dancing and he kept pulling me closer and closer. I was only okay with Moroni holding me that way. He leaned and whispered in my ear,
"You look hot." I didn't know how to react to that so I just replied with,
"Thank you. You look good as well."
I looked over to Mo and he didn't look very happy. He was leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. He looked irritated. The song ended and he walked toward us and took my hands off CJ and danced with me.
"You alright?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He his clenching his jaw.
A few song passed and he managed too cool down a bit. He was having fun and was doing the Cupid's Shuffle.
"I'm gonna get a drink." I said to him
"Me too." He replied and followed me to the refreshment table. Xavier and Kealani were there and they started a conversation with Moroni. As they were talking, CJ took me to the dance floor and we were once again slow dancing. It only took Mo five seconds to realize who I was dancing with. I was dancing with CJ and apparently that made him furious. I was facing his direction and he could see CJ's back. I looked over at Rachie and signaled her to dance with him. As she walked over there, his eyebrows raised. He was still focusing on CJ and I, but he smiled as Rachie took her hand as they swayed on the dance floor.
"I'm gonna take a break, I'm tired." CJ explained.
"Oh okay." I said with slight relief, but he just left me there alone in the middle of the dance floor. I walked over to our table and took off my heels. I looked up at Moroni and saw him yelling at CJ. His hand was in a fist and peter was holding him back. I ran over to where the scene was happening and took Mo's hand.
"You can't just take my girl, or any girl to the dance and then ditch her for another girl." Mo shouted.
"Calm down man! It's not my fault she wanted to go with me to the dance!" CJ said. He pulled me away from Moroni and held my hand. I looked at him with a very dirty look. He looked back at me like he was teasing, or just playing around. It looked very suspicious and as if it was a joke. I pulled away from his grip and pushed him away.
"Whatever, I'm out." Moroni stepped back and left the room. I looked over, as he sped off and I ran to the restroom. I didn't know what to think. I felt like it was my fault, and I was the person to blame. I was pacing the room back and forth trying to keep it all together. I kept thinking about what Mo said. Was CJ talking to other girls while we were dancing? I don't think CJ is that kind of a person. CJ's just my annoying, older brother. He just a big teddy bear, he wouldn't play any girl. Was Moroni just overreacting? What's his problem anyway? Every time I danced with him, he got protective and jealous. It was a little cute, but does he always get jealous? I herd the door open as Rachie came in.
"You okay?" She asked as she rushed to me.
"That was really dramatic. You wanna talk about?" She asked.
"You know what? Why am I even here? I should be out there dancing the night away without having to worry about Mo, or CJ. What's was that all about anyway? Why was Mo so jealous? Why was CJ acting like I was his girl? No! Okay, you've been friend zoned, honey! Uggghhh!! Why!" I expressed to Rachie while I was still pacing the floor.
"Wow." Rachie replied.
"Sorry. I didn't mean yo explode on you love." I said trying to calm myself down.
"Your good. You need to say how you feel... But who says you can't dance the night still?" She said trying to lighten things up.
"Yas girl. I just need to get away from all of that." I said relived that I have her here with me.
"Let's go then." She opens the door and we exit the room.
The rest of the night it was just Rachie and I taking over the floor. Our dates were all over all the other girls, so we decided to become each other's dates. We were kind of unstoppable and you could say we were dancing queens.
Moroni's POV
I took Mo hiking. She didn't seem very happy and she definitely isn't a morning person. It was more of a workout getting her out of bed, than the actual hike. We went to In-n-Out after the hike for our 'healthy' lunch. Every time we talk, we only focus on us. We don't know and don't care what was going on around us. We drift out into our own world, and that's exactly what happened. Our conversation was interrupted by a phone call from Mo's mother. I knew it was time to go, so I took her home to get ready. I was picking her up at 6:50, so I had plenty of time to get ready. I get a fresh new cut, shaved my little beard and was all ready to go. My family followed me to her house for pictures. I had gotten there right on time and she all ready to go. She walked down the stairs looking completely stunning. She was my drop dead gorgeous girl and I was honored to have her. We took a couple of photos and thought we were done, but apparently not. Pictures took so long, we got to the dance at 7:30 (dance starts at 7:00). We finally got there, and all eyes were on us, mostly Mo. We sat down where Rachie was sitting, when CJ came towards Moala. He had some white roses and a Valentines day box for her. He took her hand and danced on the floor. I was fine, because I knew that he was technically her date. As the song went on more couples and girls went up to dance with them, but something caught my eye. This beautiful girl dancing with a guy that doesn't appreciate her. This guy was flirting with other girls while they were dancing. This girl just so happens to be my Mo. I know CJ can be a flirt sometimes, but was consistent. He was dancing with Mo and handing out his number to other girls, and she didn't even noticed. I could feel my face heating up and I couldn't control it. I got up and took my girl away from him. I danced with Mo and we had a great time, we might of had too much of a great time.
We both were pretty thirsty, so we walked over to refreshments table and spoke with Kealani and Xavier for a while. I didn't noticed that Moala was dancing with CJ again. I was trying to be open minded about it, but CJ was flirting again. I couldn't really handle it, it was bothering me so much. They separated for some reason, and Mo went back to our table. I looked back at CJ who was dancing with some other girl. I walked up to him furiously and said,
"Why are treating her like that man!" I shoved away from the girl.
"Stop being a damn player!" I yelled. I felt Peter's hand push me back, trying to stop the potential fight.
"What the hell you talking about?" He replied.
I could feel Moala's hand locked with mine.
"You can't just take my girl, or any girl to the dance, and then ditch her for another one!" I shouted at him.
"Calm down man! Its not my fault she wanted to go to the dance with me!" CJ said taking Mo and pulling her away from me. He wrapped his arms around her waist. Mo looks at him giving him a dirty look. She pulled away from him and shoves him aside.
"Whatever, I'm out." I said pushing through the crowd. I drove away and tried hard not to think what I have been worrying about. I had all these questions like, like if she was with CJ all this time. Did she play me? She pulled away, so that must mean something. I didn't know what the hell just happened. I was frustrated and confused. So, I just drove to my house and went straight to bed.
