---------Diamonds POV--------

"I know i havnt been the best father to you dear and i know that you feel very scared of me but i tried to do whats best for you ever since your mother died my heart broke and i couldnt carry on and anger filled my heart and i'm truly sorry because i was the cause for her death. I really really want to change so i want you to move to Alisha's house while i sought out my anger and go into anger managment classes" said Dad

Relief rushed through me as i knew that he wasnt going to shout at me or threaten to hurt me. A huge smile flashed on his face and calmness swept through me. "My fathers finally changing, my fathers finally changing" i thought. i thanked God in bringing some sense into my fathers head and helping him to change his ways.

"So what do you think?" asked my Dad "Yes yes yes yes! Thank you so much daddy!" I exclaimed giving him a huge hug. Excitement rushed through me aswell as a misxture of other emotions. This was going to be a new beginning, a new start, a new life. I just couldnt wait until i told Alisha. "So i'll leave you and Alisha to it, dont worry i spoke to her mum and she agreed. I'll just pop downstairs and make lunch. I really want to make a change hunney and i know you'll help me" breathed my Dad and for once i knew he truly meant this. "I know Dad" I answered giving him a hug before he slipped out of the door and went downstairs. A few seconds after he left Alisha rushed in, worry and fear swirling around her eyes. I gave her a huge smile and relief and colour flooded back into her face. This was going to be a new beginning of an awesome life.

--------Alisha's POV--------

"OMD OMD! SERIOUSLY! HE SAID THAT!" I shouted, unaware of the windows being open aswell as the door. "Yes Yes!! I'm not lying I swear!! And he talked to your mum and she agreed! Aaaahh! im so happy!!" exclaimed Diamond a tear developing in her eyes! "My Dad is finally changing!" Warmth and happiness swept through my body as i knew that this was going to be a huge change for Diamond. "So when are you going to pack and when are you coming to mine?" I was getting so excited. My best friend is going to be staying at my house until God knows when. "My dad said as soon as you want and i want to pack today! forget about the exam because that can wait!" I jumped out of my seat and said with a smile, "Then what are we aiting for?"

-------3 hours Later--------

There was tears in Diamond's father's eyes as he watched his daughter step out of the front gate. My heart broke a bit as i knew that this was a very hard decision for him. A tear trickled down Diamond's eyes as she gave her father one last hug before she left him. I walked up to her Dad and to my surprise he engulfed me into a huge hug! Awkwardly i gave him a hug back and stepped away from him. We barely said any words to each other, other than 'hi' or 'bye' I looked up at him and i saw kindness in his eyes. Could this be the start of his new beginning? Will he change? I looked at Diamond and i saw a spark in her eyes and i knew this may be her only chance of starting a new life, a new begiining and a new start. "Promise me one thing Diamond, that'll you'll always believe in me and pray that i get better". "I promise Dad" She walked up to him and gave him one more last hug before she started walking away. "So this is a goodbye then Mr Palatino?" i asked "Yes, suppose so" he answered with sadness in his eyes. I turned away and caught up with Diamond. "Wait!" exclaimed Diamond's dad! He came rushing to us, fear struck my heart and i could feel Diamond stiffen beside me! He stopped a couple of metres before us and said silently, "I love you Diamond, dont ever forget that" Before we could answer he rushed back and went into the house. I started to relax when he left and i heard Diamond say quietly, "I have always loved you Dad" and she turns away and speed walks before i can comfort her. I hope that her father changes, i just hope.
