I am way to lazy to rewrite any more so I'll just leave this with what has been written. It's written poorly since it's from years ago T . T Good luck

I woke up to the alarm clock ringing in my ears.
"W-wha..." I looked up at the man and rubbed my eyes.
"Get up." I yawned. "It's earl-"
"Don't complain to me."
He snapped as he handed me a paper.
"You're now going to work during night and sleep during the day. No complaints."
I nodded and jumped out of the bed.

"Also..." He handed me a black cloak.
"I'm not supposed to give you this but I'd rather not have you be seen..."
I stared at him in shock.
"Well are you going to take it or what?"
He snapped. I slowly took it.
"Thank you..." I muttered.
"You better be." He said harshly before he left the room.
I pulled the cloak over myself and looked in the mirror.

Like a ninja.

I thought to myself as I quietly laughed.
I crept through the hallway and I went into what looked like a main room to find the one man was sitting there.
"Stay quiet."
I nodded and headed out the door.

I had to steal from merchants? This is insane.

I crept through the attic and hid behind a crate. A man had stumbled in, obviously drunk. He set down a bag and cautiously trotted out of the room. I quickly ran in and took the bag with a thought running through my head.

Would I be able to escape and return to L if I was good?

I stopped and turned around slowly.
I stared at the open door.
I went into the hallways and into another room. It was a briefcase full of expensive materials. I took the case and ran out the window that I came through in the beginning.

I kept this up for the next few houses amazed that  I hadn't been caught yet.
As I crept through my last house I saw a bunch of money piled in a corner.

"HEY!"
I Immediately turned my head to see a man running towards me. I jumped out the window with nothing in my hands.
I ran back to the house with the sun already rising.
"What took you so long?"
The man said.
I emptied my pockets to show him the loot.
"How did you..."

He stared at me.
"Stupid girl. They've probably realized that it was us."
He whacked me in the head.
"Sorry..." I mumbled.
"Sorry won't fix it."
He sighed. "But you did get a lot..."
He grumbled and I shuffled my feet.
"Go to bed." He ordered.
I bowed and left for my bedroom.
"Oh and." He started. I turned to face him.
"Call me master."

I nodded and my face was slightly red of anger. "Yes...master." I said in a sarcastic tone as I walked to my bedroom. I sat down on the bed and a tear fell down my face.
I got into this pattern over the week.

It gave me a lot of grief and after every day I would go to my bedroom and cry, praying to be with L again.

All I ever wanted was to be normal...to have a happy life.

Ryuk had showed up in my room on my 3rd week of being here.

"Bad news (Y/n)..." I raised my head.
"W-what happened?!" Ryuk sighed.
"L is losing it. He's in a vulnerable and u stable position right now. He won't even talk with Watari and even you know how close they are."

"I miss him." Ryuk sat by my bed and I pulled the covers over myself.
"I know you do but there's nothing you can do right now. Just get some rest."
I shut my eyes and sighed.

"Thank you Ryuk." I whispered.
He stretched his wings and just before flying out the window he smiled.
"No problem kiddo." And then he fled.

I woke up sweating from a nightmare. I looked around, dazed.

Just a dream...just a dream

I repeated to myself as I stood up. I dressed into my cloak and ran down the stairs.

Time skip

The nightmares were recurring and I dreaded the thought of sleep since then. I walked down the stairs and the man had been waiting there like usual. He looked very tired and very upset so I didn't dare to speak to him. He handed me a small paper and I realized that this isn't an errand.

This is a plane ticket to Japan.

"You must leave." I looked up at him in shock. "Is this a test maste-" "Call me that no longer. I am not your master. Call me Graham. You must leave." "Why?" We walked out of the house and into a black car. "I will take you to the airport and you shall get on the plane at 7:00am sharp. Ok?" I nodded. "Understood." We made it to the airport and rushed through the long lines of people.

"Why are you helping me escape?" He was silent for a minute. "They will kill you. I know this is abandoning my orders but I don't want you dead." And the man left. From everywhere my eyes could see, it was crowded. I boarded the plane and a painful thought struck me hard.

Watari...Beyond...William...L!

I tried to wipe away my tears. A man sat next to me and gave me a glare. I said nothing nor looked at him. Just before the plane took off a lady behind me whispered in my ear. "Where's your parents?" I turned around with and scowled. They're dead. My master gave me a plane ticket and now I'm going to live in Japan." She fell silent and I waited for the plane to take off.

Time skip

We were halfway to our destination and my stomach was still in knots. The plane hit the ground hours later and I jerked my head up when we heard a voice over the loudspeaker. "Welcome to Japan! We hope you enjoyed riding with us." I was the last one to get off the plane. I called Graham when I got off. He answered and his voice was colder than usual. "Don't call me again. Did you make it?" I looked around at the change in atmosphere and sighed. "Yes...So is there a place I stay or..." We both went quiet.

"In your bag is a large quantity of Japanese currency. This is your life again so decide what you do." And he hung up. I walked out of the airport moments later with a smile on my face. I'm free. I decided to buy a new, expensive phone and I gave the bills to Graham's friends and laughed to myself.

Have fun with that.

I took a train to the Kanto region. "Guess I'll be staying here." I said to myself. After arriving I went into an alleyway that looked abandoned and walked into an old house. It looked like people had just moved out and abandoned this so I plopped down onto the carpet and sighed. I took out my phone and flipped through settings and once again my heart sank.

"L..." I said to myself.

The image that Beyond put in my head wouldn't go away. He was in pain. I never wanted to think of that.

What if I will save up enough for L to live with me...

I thought to myself. I grabbed a dusty magazine from the floor to read the help wanted section. Even if it was illegal for someone my age to work I didn't care. I needed food. I needed water. "It's decided then." I said aloud. And I started dialing numbers.
