Bai Li Tu Su/百里屠苏 - He is the main character and has the spirit of the Fen Ji Sword/焚寂 which corrupts his soul and body on days if the full moon. He is half the soul of Ta Zi Chang Qin/太子长琴.

Feng Qing Xue/风晴雪 - She is a descendant of Nü Wa/女娲 from the You Du Cheng/幽都城. She was Bai Li Tu Su's childhood friend hit he forgot all about her. She is the only one who can suppress his bloodlust when the spirit of the Sword takes over and has a crush on him.

Fang Lan Sheng/方兰生 - He is a typical rich kid from his era and doesn't have any family other than his sister who runs the family business. He is obsessed with learning the ancient arts and has to make the ultimate decision between his family or his dreams.

Xiang Ling/襄铃 - She is a fox spirit who can transform into a human. Back in his childhood, Bai Li Tu Su had saved her life once, and she was trying to find him ever since. She and Fang Lan Sheng become good friends and more, but the stakes were too high for them to be together.

Ling Yue/陵越 - He is the sect senior of Bai Li Tu Su and also a big brother figure for him. He accompanies Tu Su on a lot of his travels to find his mom etc.

Ou Yang Shao Gong/欧阳少恭 - Seeming friendly and loyal from the very start, it isn't until the last few episodes that his true nature is revealed. He is the other half of Tai Zi Chang Qin's soul, and therefore his life is entertained with Bai Li Tu Su's and vice versa.

Author's Comments The story was really good and instantly swept China up in a storm. I personally really enjoyed it though it wasn't my most favourite of them all. I will admit that Li Yi Feng did a great job in portraying the character who has even less emotion than Shi Fu(cast your mind back to Hua Qian Gu) sometimes, considering how bubbly he usually is...jeez. But I would definitely recommend this series, I really like it and the story had bits of this and that that made it so enjoyable to watch. Another actor I wanted to discuss in this chapter was Zheng Shuang. She has had the plastic surgery rumour going around her, and yes she has admitted to it. But what I would look to say is, good on her. I feel like she's a really strong person to be able to just stand up and say it. Life's too short to go with the things you don't like. If she wants to fix her face, then she fixes her face. I don't support her because she decided to get surgery but rather that she is willing to admit to it. 加油郑爽！
