A Place For You

Chapter 1

There were 10 puppies : 3 males and 7 females. There dad was an old German Shepard, that heavy for his age, kept an alive feeling, happy and healthy. Their owners loved him very much that they didn't care that he had already left being a guard. They had pensioned him off with all the honours and they passed every Sunday afternoon watching television with the dog laying on their feet,
while they scratched his right ear, which was his favourite caress.

They wanted this to be Peter's last litter and really thought that he hadn't had had success, but since everything that this dog did, he did it well, so now there reposed 10 beautiful puppies next to their mum. Lola was a young German Shepard. She was only 2 years old ( in human years ) and these were her first babies. She felt really proud since all that went to meet the puppies, welp, they responded with fanfare. She only missed that it always finished with an " I'll keep this one". Lola ignored what that phrase had to say, but she didn't like it AT ALL.

The 10 puppies were born on the 12th of September and when they were 15 days old they opened they're eyes. The biggest part of the day they slept ant the rest they ate. Lola got tired really quickly since 10 tiny mouths filled with sharp teeth were too much 4 her poor body ; nevertheless, her instinct was superior to fatigue and with admirable resignation she endured the days of nibbles.

Peter wasn't really interested in the puppies. Only when they started to grow and when they got out of the box that they were born in, and that's when he had the first contact with them. Maybe, they didn't know that Peter was their father, but they didn't care ( because they're puppies!!!) and they were really interested in biting the dog's feet and to hang from his tail.

For the old Shepard, being accompanied by 10 puppies wasn't his ideal happiness. Nevertheless, something inside him made him feel great sympathy for the litter and seeing him play with them, you would think that even affection.

2 months pass and the puppies already ate on their own in their plate, but they never missed the opportunity to ~assault~ Lola when she payed down to rest. In those days they saw for the first time the vet, that applies the vaccines and examines the case thoroughly, then issuing a certificate of good health.

A good day the puppies began to disappear. First was the dog that had been born something small, but which had the most beautiful face and she was the one that first stood up her ears. When Lola saw that she wasn't there, she looked for her DESPERATELY inside the house and the scent lead up to the door that lead to the street. When that door was left open, Lola kept smelling the scent until, the scent disappeared.

The disappearances kept on and on. One day she lost 2 puppies in 1 hit. Lola didn't understand what was happening to her puppies, then she noticed that just before that her puppies got lost, her owners called her with a suspicious voice and offered her a cookie for dogs; they took her to the middle of the garden and after giving it to her they then shut the door in front of her and they kept her there for a while.
Since she already knew the trick, the next time she didn't want to revive the cookie even if her mouth was slobbering. She had 3 puppies  left and she definitely did NOT want to take her eye off them.

Pitifully, after they take advantage to disappear even when she had to go to the toilet. She spent HOURS trying to find her puppies. Her owners try to make her happy, but for her it was really sad getting separated from her puppies.

Once the initial penalty, Lola felt less tired each time and her body was not heavy anymore, she was all healthy and she started to bark like before.

There was only one puppy left, which was too stuck to Lola. Since all his brothers were gone, he had all of Lola's attention only for him and all the yummy milk didn't have any other owner. His ears could hear anything and he had gotten all soft and chubby.

Hello my Shepard, -a lady entered the house- I finally came for you. The puppy had been sleeping in the garden out in the sun and he had lots of enthusiasm with the voice that was calling him sweetly. She had taken him a bone and a ball to play with along the way.

Lola was found drinking water, she heard her puppy and then ran beside him. ~now he's going~ she thought sadly. But now she understood life and that that is how it is. She licked her puppy sweetly  saying goodbye.

The poor puppy didn't know that he was getting directly separated from his parents, and he didn't imagine that his life was going to change completely. He wouldn't pass hours playing in the garden or sleep with Lola anymore. He now wouldn't fight playfully with his tired father, neither eat cookies that his owner gave him anymore. Nevertheless, new doors opened for this little puppy who was bought with great enthusiasm by a couple that wanted to give his son a birthday present that he would never forget.

Guys I hope u liked it  it was really hard I mean 958 words lol. I'm going to be publishing chapter 2 soon ( I hope *gulp*) so I'm going to try to upload every Saturday or Sunday.
