This book is about a series killer who was convicted of multiple murders back 1847 and was tried and exicuted by firing squad in the town of amerillo texas.
The year was 1847 and mr Johnson was outside cleaning his stables and he had three young daughters named Rosanna, Elisabeth, and regina. They were inside eating dinner and Regina started conversation about the legend of billy the butcher. who is billy the butcher Rosanna asked? With a mouth full of food. Regina said well back in 1812 during the Civil war there was a man named billy axe, who was a series killer who was wondering the roads outside this very town and it was very cold and rainy and he would sneak into people's homes and kill the men and kidnap the women and drag them away far way, so far that none would hear you scream and then HE KILLED THEM BY RIPPING OUT THEIR HEARTS and leaving them there for the wild animals do eat away the evidence! And then ride off into the night and after 4 years of hunting him down they finally caught him and the army shot him dead in this very town.
