Once I'm in the living room of my house, my shopping bags on the coffee table along with my duffle bag, Lilah leaves to go home. I look around and get a weird feeling in my stomach.

"Alice! I didn't think you'd be here so soon. I was gonna call you to ask if you wanted to eat out but you're probably tired from shopping." My dad walks into the house heading towards the couch to take a seat.

"Yeah I kinda am but if you wanna eat somewhere we can" I shrug

"How about we order in? I don't want to drive anywhere" my dad replies laughing.

"Italian? I wouldn't mind some spaghetti," I suggest earning a smile from dad. A sign of agreement.

He heads to the kitchen and pulls out a menu from our take out drawer and dials the number. I have my favorite order circled so he already knows which one I like.

I sit still waiting for him to finish the call. Once he finishes he comes back to the living room where I was.

"Oh! I forgot to show you this. Come here," my dad walks down the hall to the stair case, I did what he asked me and followed behind him.

"I got this installed for you. The chair swivels to the sides so you can slide onto it and now you can go up and down the stairs. You can hook the wheel chair on right here then get off at the top. I hope you like it," my dad explains to me his surprise. I smile big and thank him repeatedly.

"I just want you to feel as comfortable as you were before," he adds.

"Can you help me take my bags up while I try to use this?" I ask

"Of course," he goes to get my bags while I try and slide off of my wheel chair and onto the chair. I was able to do it but it was a real struggle since I still felt week. I've been in bed for four months. No sun, no exercise.

I press on a button and it starts moving up the stairs.

"Dang it!" I laugh

"I got it," my dad picks up my wheel chair that I forgot to attach to my chair and left it downstairs.

Once I'm at the top I wait for my dad to put my chair next to me so I can go to my room.

"I can take those from here, thank you," I smile, placing my shopping bags on my lap. He goes back downstairs to watch some TV.

I open my room slowly. I was scared of what I was gonna see. Maybe they redid my room or threw some stuff out. Or maybe I was scared of seeing my room and just remembering what I was able to do in my room.

I let out a breath I was holding and fully open my bedroom door. I wheel myself inside looking around. It's exactly how I left it. I had a couple of bras and jeans and shirts just laying around my room. A couple of books and papers on my desk. I get closer to my bed and look at the pictures I had hanging above it.

Most of them are pictures of Logan and I. I reach up as much as I can without falling out if my chair and rip most of them down.

I rip them up into shreds and let out an angry sigh.

I take slow breaths trying to calm down and let go of the feeling of wanting to cry.

I grab my bags and take them to my closet and try to hang up my new clothes. I put my bras and underwear in their designated drawers. I decide to try and change out of these clothes so I wouldn't struggle later. I pull out sweat pants and an old baggy shirt. I go to the bathroom and unbuttoned my shirt. I slip on my lazy one on the struggle to take my jeans off. I tug them off of my ankles and feel sweaty but relieved their off my my body.

I slip them on easily then grab the clothes I was previously wearing and throw them to the side of the my room with the rest of my dirty clothes.

I wheel out of my room and head towards the stairs. I slid off my wheelchair and onto the other one to take me down. This time I made sure to take my wheel chair with me.

I made it down the stairs in one piece and get back into my wheelchair. I go to the living room where my dad is watching a boxing game on the TV.

"Want to watch a movie?" He asks picking up the remote, putting Netflix on.

"What's a new movie that came out?" I ask

"I've seen Spy, it's hilarious," he responds

"Let's play it," I agree.

He clicks on the movie and it starts playing. Our food arrives not much later and we dig right in.

The movie causes the both of us to left out loud laughs and me almost spitting out my food because of laughing.

When it ends my dad takes both of our empty containers and throws them away.

"I'm gonna head to bed now, do you want me to take you to bed?"

"No I think I'm fine. I'm gonna go to bed later," I shake my head and take the remote from the coffee table.

"Don't stay up too late, goodnight," he kisses the top of my head before walking past me.

"Goodnight,"

I scan the names of new and popular movies but nothing really stands out to me. I let put a yawn and decide I should just get to bed. I go to the stairs and do what I have to do get upstairs.

I make it up and wheel myself towards my bedroom but go to the bathroom.

I slide onto the toilet and do my business since I haven't gone in a while. I feel relieved and finish up. I get back onto my chair and wash up. I remove my make up and brush my teeth. I brush my hair, even though it will be tangled by morning.

Once I'm finished I get to my bed.

How am I gonna do this? I try to stand but obviously that didn't work. I try to push my self off and basically throw myself onto my bed with my upper strength, which wasn't much, but I was able to do it. I placed my cold blanket on top of my feet and lay back.

Not feeling tired anymore I reach over to my nightstand for my phone and check for any notifications.

Two messages from Lilah
One missed call from Brenner and a FaceTime call from him.

I read Lilah's messages and reply to them. I debate weather to call or FaceTime him. I look at the time, 10:34pm. Maybe I should just text him.
