The next morning was awful. I had a headache and my face was gross from all the crying. I had matted hair and to top it all off, I had only managed to get a couple of hours sleep.

I forced myself into the shower and let the warm water comfort me. I got dressed and tried to make myself look presentable and believe me it was a difficult task.

I wore high waisted jeans, a white blouse and heels. All things Lucy had made me buy because they "highlighted my figure" and "made me look like a woman" and although I was uncomfortable, I wanted to look confident today.

I found a note on the counter from Lucy.

Gone grocery shopping. Text me if you need anything. Might go for a run afterwards aswell. I'll be back by 3. Hope you're feeling better.

I checked the time on my phone. It was only 10.

Lucy was supposed to go furniture shopping with me today. I need some items to jazz up my bedroom. I figured I hadn't got dressed up for nothing. I was more than capable of shopping by myself. I grabbed my bag and left. She better be back this afternoon. Like she said, it was our last day of freedom.

I had just got into the hall when I heard another door slam. I didn't turn around. But I knew which door it was, so I sped up.

"Ella, hold the lift." To my relief it was only Niall.

I smiled at him as he jogged up to me and entered the elevator.

I pressed the ground floor button.

"How come you left last night?" He looked at me waiting for an answer.

"Lucy told you, I didn't feel well." I said, looking away, slightly frustrated he had asked that.

He turned to me "you honestly expect to believe that?" He said with an inquisitive expression.

"I saw the way you looked at Harry. What's going on?"

"It's fine, it doesn't matter. I'd rather not talk about it to be honest." I said tapping my foot in frustration, could this lift not hurry up so I could escape this awkward situation.

"But I don't get it, you just met the guy?"

"Look, I said I don't want to talk about it okay!" I snapped.

He looked slightly taken aback by my tone, but he nodded and a comfortable silence was resumed. I felt kinda bad I had taken my frustration out on him by yelling.

"So where are you off to?" He questioned.

Niall sure was chatty.

"Just to my car, need to go furniture shopping"

"Furtiture shopping, you look way to gorgeous to be going furniture shopping."

Of course I blushed at this.

"I'll drive you if you want" he offered. "Save you the trouble"

"Oh no there's really no need"

"I don't mind, It'd be a pleasure."

I thought for a minute. "Alright, but only if you insist."

Niall puzzled me.

"Why are you being so nice to me after I snapped at you? I inquired.

He shrugged. "It wasn't my place to ask."

I nodded.

"Plus I don't really tend to hold grudges."
