I woke up to my room being lit up by the sun. It was silent though. The heart monitor was turned off. I looked to my right to see if Adam had survived, but he wasn't in the room. I began to cry at the thought of him dead.

"Ma'am, Ma'am please calm down." A nurse grabbed my arm. She began to rub it.

"What's the problem." She questioned quietly.

"My..My boyfriend. He's dead." Her eyes widened.

"Give me his name and I will check for you" She smiled.

"Ad.. Adam Driver" I sobbed. She stood up and went back to her desk. She began to type a lot. She stood up and walked over to me.

"I'm sorry but."

"No. Oh god no!"

"Shh no it's okay. You were misinformed. Hes in the PACU. He made it through surgery." She smiled. I sighed in relief laying back in my bed. I turned off the bed and stood up. I started walking out the door then stopped.

"Uh.. Where exactly is this PACU?" I laughed turning back to the nurse. She giggled and grabbed my arm helping me down the hall. The sling started to get uncomfortable.

"Um.. Miss. Do you know how to adjust a sling?" I asked.

"Yes, they put it on too tightly, I see." She let go of my arm and started to fix the sling that held my other arm.

"There. How's this." She said stepping back.

"Better. Thank you." I replied. She took my arm again and led me to the PACU.

"He should be right here." She said pulling a curtain back. There he was. He had tubes going up his nose and he had patches attatched to his arms and heart. He had an IV going in his left arm.

"Can I.. Can I stay here?"

"Of course darling. We don't know if or when he's going to wake up though." She said pulling a chair next to Adams bed.

"Thank you." I nodded. I placed my hand on Adams hand and laid my head on the side of his bed.

"You can't leave me. We're not done fighting." I laughed to myself.

"I need you here with me. I'm nothing without you love."

"We were The A Team. I don't wanna just be The A." I sighed. I picked my head up and looked at him. He was so peaceful, yet in pain. I laid my head back down and drifted to sleep.

"Ma'am.. Ma'am" I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw the sweet nurse who let me stay here.

"Y..Yes" I said stretching.

"You need to eat. You haven't ate in two days." She said stressed.

"Oh no, i'm okay. I can't leave him."

"No, You're not okay. Look, i'll stay right here making sure he's okay. Go get something to eat." She offered me.

"No, I can't do that. I wanna be the first one he see's when he wakes up. I don't know if he wants the same but it's worth a shot." I said looking back at him.

"Very well, You asked for this." She straightened up and went back to her desk. I shrugged it off and stared at him waiting for him to wake up any second. Adam moved his fingers slightly then stopped.

"NURSE!" I screamed. The lady who helped me out came in.

"What's wrong?"

"He.. He moved." I said standing up.

"His fingers. He wiggled them." The nurse sighed then handed me an apple.

"What?" I asked.

"You need to eat so I got you an apple. Now go back and sit down." I sighed and sluggishly walked back to my chair.

"An." I heard a male voice say. I looked over up at Adam and he was still asleep.I shrugged and finished my apple.

"Annie" I heard a male voice say again.

"Adam?" I shrugged.

"Belly" I saw his lips slightly move.

"Adam oh my god." I stood up and grabbed his hand.

"Hows... Hows my Belly" He stuttered slowly opening his eyes.

"It's nothing. Do you remember what happend?" I asked.

"I.. Uh... Yes" He said. He sounded very groggy.

"Can you tell me what happened darling?" I said rubbing his hand.

"Um.. We fought right?"

"Yes, I left for a run but when I came back the door was locked and the house was torn apart. You had a knife in your stomach as well." I explained.

"Why?"

"The knife.. Was in my stomach" He repeated.

"Yes.. I know.. Why?" He just stared at me.

"You didn't do this on purpose did you?" I whispered. He shook his head in disagreement.

"Oh thank god. The cops were inspecting the house last night or right now." I said. He nodded and turned his head to look at the heart monitor.

"Something wrong?" I asked.

"N..No" He stuttered.

"Then why won't you look at me" I said raising my voice. He turned and looked at me.

"Happy?"

"No. Not really. What's wrong Adam."

"Nothing Belly. I love you" He smiled.

"I love you too." I sighed

"I have to go home soon, but I don't want to leave you."

"You can leave. I'll be okay." He reassured me.

"No, no it's fine. I'm okay waiting here."

"Actually... I'll go home and check to see if the cops checked it out yet." I said.

"Thank you." I leaned over and kissed him then left.

"Where are you going?" The nurse asked me.

"Home." I sighed.

"Well, I didn't quite catch your name."

"Annabelle." I smiled at her.

"Beautiful name. I'm Naya." She introduced herself.

"I'll give you my number. If you need anything you can text me. Even if you want to just hang out." She said writing her number on a piece of paper.

"Here." She handed me the paper.

"I'm 24 , so don't be afraid to ask for a drinking partner." She said winking at me. I smiled then continued exiting the hospital. After 5 failed attempts at flagging a taxi down I finally got one. When I arrived at the house the door was fixed. I opened the door and everything was back to normal. Except Adam is still in the hospital. I went to my room and it looked as if nothing happened. I went into the kitchen hoping to see blood stains but there wasn't any. I sighed and collapsed to the floor, being too tired to stand.
