[Blackstar's POV]
"About (y/n) leaving the castle," The king spoke in his loud noise. He has this, well, red hair and blue eyes. And his name was Spirit.
Azusa, who was the queen, sat next to the king's throne with a small, sad smile.
"We don't want to let you do that again." Spirit said, which surprised me of course. And I pretty much guess it's obvious. "...Why ?"
"Blackstar, the only place (y/n) is really safe and secured is here. This castle blocks magic from outsiders... Which is why that guy, Night... Is dangerous. He's the first to ever break in and attack with such powerful magic.." The queen said with a small sigh. "I know it'd upset her... But please tell her. I know she'd understand."
...But that's unfair... It's like--they're taking her freedom away !
"...It's beautiful..."
"Yeah. Great plan." She made a small laugh, finally letting go of my hand.
"Thank you. So much." She laughed. "Let's do this again, okay ? I promise I'd bring stuff over, too, so we can stay longer !"
She was so happy that time... And I have to make that fade ?
"N-no, your majesty. I don't wish to be rude, but... (y/n) can't be stuck here forever... She can't." I frowned. "I-I can protect her when we go outside---I swear !"
"No." The king gave a small glare. "I'm not underestimating your ability, I'm being careful. She can't leave. And that's an order."
...Well, here's the deal. I'm not a knight. I'm a prince who does whatever the fuck I want.
Yup, whatever the fuck I want.
I wouldn't be breaking rules---not until they see me doing it, of course. I'll show her things again... There's this one thing that makes me do it.
...No. It's nothing much. It's just pity.
"Fleitte, take him back to (y/n)'s room." The queen turned, her gaze passing through behind me. I turned, seeing the redhead from yesterday... Oh. Him.
"The youngest's next."
I hate him. For some reason there's a bad aura surrounding this bitch...
"Consider it done, my queen."
So, I walked with him. There was awkward silence but soon enough... He made a laugh.
"I'm sorry---were you annoyed at me or something ?" He turned to me, laughing loudly. "I apologize ! I was stating mere facts."
...Dafuq ?
"Huh ?"
"I read minds, remember, knight ? I'm sorry. I was toying with you. Pfft." He chuckled, fixing his glasses. "Damn, I'm so great at acting ! I should apply for a stage performer..."
I stared, before letting a small chuckle leave me. "I guess you should. I was tricked."
"Be more suspicious next time, sweetie." Fleitte laughed. "If I was Night, I've had the princess by now."
"Now, now. I'd catch him before that happens."
"Cocky, huh ?" He laughed, stopping at the white door with a few strips of violet as design. Fleitte then opened it, and ran in.
"Princess~!"
I walked in, and saw Fleitte glomp (y/n)---who gasped at the hug. "O-oh, Fleitte !" She laughed, hugging him back hesitantly. "O-oy---too tight there, redhead.."
"Sorry," Fleitte laughed, pulling away. "I've been travelling around too much ! I haven't seen you awake for weeks !"
Well, they're good friends. I watched them from the door, closing it behind me and leaning against it. (y/n) turned to me, and laughed. "Blackstar, this is Fleitte. He's mom and dad's adviser and, well, a friend. He started working here when I was still 13 ! And he gave me almost half of the books in here---he likes reading, it's why his eyesight's all messed up now."
I grinned. "So you've read each one of these ?" I stared at Fleitte, who laid down on her bed like it was his. "Yes. Each one."
"You can use some too, if you want." (y/n) shrugged, plomping down on Fleitte's stomach. I laughed, and shook my head. "No thanks. I don't read much."
(y/n) then gave a smirk. "So that's why you're a large idiot !""Oy, shut up. I'm not an idiot !" I crossed my arms. "I'm just an average person. You two, if I'm correct---are damn bookworms ! Seriously---I'd never read each of this even if my life depended on it !"
"You're funny." Fleitte smugly grinned. (y/n) laughed as well, sticking a tongue out. "Dumb knight."
"I'm a pr---I'm a wise knight !"
"How are you wise ?"
"I just am !"
Fleitte laughed loudly, running a hand through his red hair. "You're really funny ! Say more jokes !"
"I'm not even joking !" I pouted, huffing. "Seriously, I'm not dumb !"
"Alright, alright." Fleitte seized down his laughs, as well as (y/n). Then, he removed his glasses and started wiping it with his sleeve. "So, tell me---how much training did you have ?"
"Uh... I trained for almost my whole life." I responded with a shrug. It's true ! I mean, ever since I was six, father introduced me to sword fighting... That's when I found out about my shadow ability.
"Oh. Well, that's normal in knight families." Fleitte smiled. "But," He wore his glasses again, and sat up, moving (y/n)'s head on his lap gently."Are you strong enough to protect the princess ?"
He snickered. "I want to see. Blackstar, right ? I challenge you to friendly duel."
"E-eh ?!" (y/n) gasped, sitting up. "No, you don't really have to---"
"Nah, it's okay." I grinned. "It's been a while since I fought, too. I'd be happy !"
Advantage, too. I mean, I can find out more about this guy that way.
"Well then," Fleitte patted (y/n)'s head, and got out of the bed. "We should do it around the forest, then ! So no one would interfere."
"Deal."
"You two---seriously---"
"Nah, don't worry." Fleitte laughed. "If one of us gets too exhausted to stand or stays laying down on the ground for ten seconds, the fight's over."
"Hah ! Great." I laughed. "So when will we do that ?"
"Hmm... Now."
