IN CASE (One Shot)

THE SONG, "IN CASE" inspired the plot of course. But doing a one-shot story is inspired by a classmate of mine. @cookieweb. She writes good short stories but unfortunately to the others the story is in Filipino. Oh andddd, thanks to @Roobarb02! :D

I was walking at the hallway, scrolling through my playlist in my phone. When I looked up, I instantly saw Rom and Zia holding each other's hands, and smiling as if there's no tomorrow. I felt my heart break in pieces again.

This is a daily occurrence for me since we study in the same university, we broke up three months ago but it's hard to move on when you see the one you're trying to forget everyday. It's like one step forward and three steps backward for me. Sometimes, I'm assured that I finally moving on but then he'll show up and I'll be back to base one. I'm being repetitive I know, sorry.

I sighed, and focused to the music playing, I decided to put it on shuffle, and just my luck... In Case by Demi Lovato started playing, this song is exactly my feelings right now. 

Pictures in my pocket all faded from the washer

I can barely just make out your face

Food you saved for later in my refrigerator

It's been too long since later never came

I've been waiting for him to come back. I'm Pathetic. I saved all the things that he gave me and the remembrance I have of him.

I still can't believe that we ended up this way. When he chose to leave me, I said to myself that I'll be fine without him that I should be happy that he found his happiness but as each day passes it just makes me even more lonelier, needing him to be with me. Wanting to be selfish because I want to be the girl that will make him happy.

I'm letting him go but I'm still hoping that before It really happens he will come back.

I know that I'll be always here for him even if he doesn't share the same sentiments with me. I will always love him no matter what but I guess that he is one of the people that I meant to love but not be together, so I guess I just need to suck it up.

I can hear him say, "That's what she said" as I thought the last three words. He always say green jokes. hahahayyy.

I looked back at the two of them and saw him looking at me, it sparked something inside me but I ignored that and smiled weakly at him and started walking towards the classroom.
