The One For Me (Genie x Sammie FanFic)

Chapter 1- What is this feeling?

  -Sammie's P.O.V-

"Mom?" I call from the living room.
"Yes?" She walks in, "What is it, my child?" Toriel has always been nice to me. I call her mom because she has taken such good care of me.
"When is Genie getting home?" Genie has always been there for me. When ever I'm afraid, she is there to make me feel happy. But, I don't call her my sister. She's more of my best friend. Like, my closest friend. She's been on a trip with Sans and Papyrus for a few days now.
"I don't know, dear. Sans has not called me yet."
"Alright..." I walked back into my room, laid on my bed, and closed my eyes. I remember the first time that Genie helped me through a terrible experience.

~In the True Lab, 3 months ago~

"See?" Genie said, "It isn't so-" She looked at me, "bad..." She sighed and walked over to me.
I was on the ground, in a ball, crying. This place was scary to me. I didn't understand it. I just wanted to go home.
"Come on, Sammie... Let's go."
I shook my head, "I-I'm scared, Genie..."
She sighed again, "You want me to hold you're hand, you big baby?"
I nodded, "Yes please..."
She stood up and held out her hand.
I took it and she pulled me up.
We passed by a few signs, but Genie said I shouldn't read them. She was very protective over me from then on.
I couldn't tell what this feeling was... Holding her hand and her trying to keep me calm. It made me feel... weird... I wonder how Genie feels about this.

~End of memory~

There is a knock on my door.
I shot up, "Yes?"
The door opened and a familiar face popped up.
"Genie!" I hopped out of bed and ran to her. I hugged her tightly.
She hugged me back, "Woah! Miss me much?"
"Of course I did! I haven't seen you in, like, forever!"
She laughed, "It's only been four days."
"four days too long." I finally let go of her. Something about her embrace makes me want to stay in it.
"So what did I miss?"
I explained to her everything that had happened in the last four days. From the second she left to the second before my daydream. I didn't think she'd care to hear about it. But as I talked more and more, she became more interested in it. She stared at me, as if to collect ever expression I made with the words.
"Wow!" She smiled, "You did a lot while I was away!"
"But..."
"But what?"
"There is something I did leave out."
"You left out something? What is it?"
I stood up and held out my hand, "I'll show you."
She took my hand and I guided her to the kitchen.
"Sit down. I'll go get it."
She sat down at the table.
I walked to the fridge and pulled out two slices of pie. I set a piece in front of her.
"What's this?" She looked it over.
"I made it. It's just something I put together for when you came home. I saved you and I a slice in case Sans or Papyrus tried to eat it."
"Really?" She picked up her fork and took a bit out of it. She didn't chew it, swallow it, or even take the fork out of her mouth.
"Oh no... Did I do bad?" I must have made it terrible.
She looked at me with no expression, "Sammie."
"Y-Yes?" I was getting nervous.
She soon smiled big, "This is the best pie ever!"
I took a sigh of relief, "You mean it?"
"Yes!" She took another bite.
I smiled, "I'm glad." I took a piece of my own and ate it. She was right, it's really good.

~Few minutes later~

We both finished our pie.
She looked up at me, "That was delicious, Sammie!"
"Thank you."
She stared at my face.
"What's wrong?"
"You got pie on your face." She leaned over the table, "Let me get it." She took her finger and wiped the pie away, "There we go." She liked the pie off her finger.
My face felt hot. I don't know why. Maybe it was her getting pie off my face like a child. It could also be the way she liked the pie off her finger.
She looked at me again, "You alright? You're face looks like papyrus' scarf!" She laughed.
I covered my face, "I-I have no clue what you mean!" I laughed nervously.
"Whatever you say, Sammie."
I stood up and started towards my room.
"Hey! Sammie! Come on, I was just messing with you!"
My heart was beating out of my chest. What is this feeling?
