"Smile!" The ravenette chirped, he seemed different these days. The girl smiled, had he truly changed? She remembered what Masaomi had said to her. Was she really going to believe some kid over her best friend? She wanted to forget, but the memory was as clear as day.
"Masaomi?" She asked, said teen looked at her, he looked at her warily. He noticed Izaya walking over to them, the wary look instantly turned into one of disgust and pity.
"What do you want?" He hissed, the girl frowned, "Is something wrong?"
He looked over to Izaya and then back to her. She looked over to where the teen had looked, "You shouldn't trust a monster like him." She laughed and shook her head, Masaomi was so odd. She looked the teen in the eyes, he smile still on her face.
"He's changed, Masaomi." She said, he scowled, "People like him don't change, they lie." He stated venomously. Her smile faltered, she looked back to Izaya, he seemed happy. Was he truly happy? Or was it all a facade?
"Are you lying?" She asked looking at the teen, he let out a dry laugh, "Never to you."
"Izaya?" She asked, snapping out of her memories, "Are you actually happy? Or are you faking it?" She asked, her smile faltered, tears started to roll down her face. The ravenette smirked, she finally figured it out.
"No." The word hit her like one of Shizuo's vending machines. She bowed her head tears rolling down her face, her best friend was never even truly happy. Why hadn't she noticed? "People like him never change, they lie." Why hadn't she listened to Masaomi? She could hear the ravenette start to laugh, he stood and started to walk away. Her heart felt so empty.
"Izaya!" She yelled, her sadness was replaced by deep anger. She could still feel tears fall down her face, she stood her legs shook in anger. Yet she couldn't bring her self to stay mad at him, she fell back onto her knees and whispered, "Smile..."
