We decided to escape from Sonic's house and go on a walk. Sonic is to worried for us to leave, so we snuck out the back door. Rouge says that there is a special spot that she wants to go to. "Where is this spot exactly?" I ask her as we walk. "Somewhere you haven't been for 4 years." She says in excitement. Well that DEFINITELY clears EVERYTHING up. " Gee. I wonder where that is. It's not like there are a million places I haven't been to in 4 years." I say sarcastically. "Oh hush! You'll know it when you see it." She sounds pretty confident that I'll remember this certain place. Then she says something that kinda scared me. "Alright. Close your eyes!" "Uh......" I respond not knowing what to say. "Trust me on this!" She said. I trust her. With my own life. I sigh then close my eyes. She pulls me along, directing me to where ever this place is.

Rouge P.O.V

I can't wait for Shadow to see this place. He used to go here a lot when we worked together. I would join him every now and again, but he liked to keep to himself when he came here. This was his escape from reality. His escape from life's problems. His sanctuary. When we finally get there, I can't wait to see if he remembers this place. "Okay Shadow," I begin, "Open 'em!" When his eyes open, I can see his eyes widen. "Rouge! This place......." He's breathless. I don't know how he's taking it. "I'm sorry! If you don't want to be here we'll leave!" I quickly apologize. I didn't want to hurt him. "No! I... I just...... nostalgia is really a jerk!" He chuckles. "Do you remember what you did here?" I ask him. "I came here to....think. Clear my head." He says. A tree near a cliff. A perfect time to be here too. It's almost sunset. The view is beautiful. "Rouge. Your the best! I completely forgot about this place." He says.
