“Hmmm? You seemed… lively.” She commented with a hard to tell expression on her face. Her forehead’s on a frown but she was smiling with one of her eyebrows raised.

“I am always lively.”

“No you’re not. I never even heard you hum a lively tune as you enter that door.” Marichan continued while pointing the café door with a cup on her hand. “And what’s with that?” she glare on me like I’ve done something wrong.

“What that?” I asked confused.

“That smile!” she pointed out with wild eyes. “You were constantly smiling Nyaro!”

“We are working on a café, I have to smile!”

“Work your face! I’ve never seen you smile that wide before. Stop lying on me and tell me what’s going on. Dating someone?”

“Date? If I have one, I would tell you.” I replied shrugging the question off with my shoulders.

“Then what’s with you?”

“Hmm~ let’s say that I was pretty entertained.” Geez Haruna, can you stop yourself from answering everything she asks? I virtually face palmed myself. Why can’t I keep quiet. Part of me wants to tell her everything about Yuko, like I wanna tell her how awesome she was. I don’t know.

“Entertained by?”

“Yuko.” Oh crap! I just said it. Now I have to say something. Get ahold of yourself Haruna. What are you doing?

“Yuko?” Marichan went on to continue what she’s doing. “She’s pretty outgoing. Totally different from you. If I may say, she’s totally your opposite. I even wonder how you two become friends.”

“We may be opposites but we do share the same interest. Well, maybe not much but there are few.”

“That is what meant by opposites attract.” She giggled. “Two persons from the same world, living in a completely opposite life, nurtured and developed very opposite personality,  and yet…” she scoots beside me with a serious look on her face. “… yet was able to meet somewhere along the road just because you both share one single interest.” Marichan smiled warmly. “Isn’t that great?”

“W-well… yeah.” I can speak no more as I try to process everything that she just said. To think of it, it was amazing. And that one single interest, maybe we’re sharing the same views and stands on life too. “We still don’t know how much we have in common though.”

“Take this opportunity Nyaro.” Marichan uttered a meaningful line. “…to learn what you want, …what you lack, …what you needed to do. “

“Eh~~” I tried not to act like I didn’t take her seriously, but I do. She makes me think about it.

“Grab this opportunity to learn more about yourself.”

Gawd~ that Mariko sure get me this time. Now I can’t sleep. I glanced at the clock hanged on my left wall. It’s 11:30 in the evening and I’m wide awake, thinking about the things her words that make me look back to my past. Am I really that boring?

I grabbed my phone and have a browse on it. As I scroll through the gallery, I came across Yuko’s picture. I noticed she likes taking pictures of herself even if it’s not her phone. Maybe she’s really comfortable with me now, I like that if it’s case. Honestly, I’d like it if we can be both open with each other.
