Ding-dong!

"Kreecher! Get the door, please!" Albus hollered.

"Yes, young master," the house-elf responded as he opened the door. A tall blonde boy of fourteen with startling blue-gray eyes and black glasses stood in the doorway. "Hey Al! Kreecher, how are you today?" he asked politely. "Very well, mister Malfoy."

Albus hopped off of the couch, where he was reading Quidditch Through the Ages for the umpteenth time. "Hey Scorp!" he said. Scorpius walked in and the two best friends did their secret handshake. "Happy birthday!" Scorpius said as he gave the green eyed, dark skinned, jet-black haired boy a noogie. "Geroff mate!" he said.

The boys walked out to the backyard, where Albus' Quidditch themed birthday party was set up. A huge Golden Snitch cake sat in the middle of the table, made by Grandma Molly. "Cool setup, Al," Scorpius complimented. "Thanks. You wanna play Chaser v Keeper?" Albus suggested. "Okay."

The Potter Manor's backyard had six Quidditch hoops, where the three siblings were always playing. Scorpius and Albus were playing Chaser v Keeper when Albus' siblings walked out. James Sirius was Al's fifteen year old brother, who had dark auburn curls, golden brown skin. and mischievous brown eyes. Lily Luna was Al's eleven year old sister, who had auburn hair, light brown skin, and hazel eyes; a compromise between her mum's brown and her dad's green.

"Oi, Albus! The family's here!" James hollered at his younger brother. Albus and Scorpius flew down and ran inside, to see a large group of gingers, brunettes, and blonds. "Al, happy birthday!" his cousin Rose exclaimed with an embrace. She was Albus' best friend, other than Scorpius. He got plenty of other birthday greetings from his cousins and god brother: Teddy, Victoire, Dominique, Louis, Molly II, Lucy, Hugo, Fred II, and Roxanne. Not to mention his aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

The party lasted all day, the kids playing a game of Quidditch (Scorpius, Albus, Rose, Roxanne, Lucy, Dom, and Louis against James, Fred, Vic, Teddy, Molly, Hugo, and Lily). They sang 'Happy Birthday' to Albus and ate the wonderful French Vanilla cake. Everyone was sleeping over, since Potter Manor had plenty of extra room. The kids all stayed in the basement, sleeping in sleeping bags.

It was after midnight when they found themselves playing Truth or Dare. "Alright Jay, truth or dare?" Fred asked. "Dare!" James exclaimed. "I dare you to go into your dad's study, and take something," he said with a grin. "No, Fred! Harry said to stay out of his study!" Teddy said, being the responsible 21 year old he was. "Oh c'mon Ted! Let this one slide, please?" James begged. "No James, Teddy is right, no going into the study," Victoire said, agreeing with her boyfriend. "Okay, Vic," Fred said, being influenced by his cousin's Veela charm. They played a few more rounds before everyone fell asleep, well, everyone but Fred and James. "Okay, James, how about we finish that dare?" James grinned, "Of course, Freddie, let's go."

The two pranksters crept up the stairs and tiptoed into the study. The walls were lined with books and a huge hourglass stood in the corner. "What to steal, what to steal," James quietly pondered to himself. Fred was looking around too. "How about this?" he said, holding up a thin wand with thick, round bulbs every inch or so. "No, that's special. I think Dad calls it the Elderly Wand or something, he'd notice." Fred frowned, "Okay." "This!" James whisper-shouted. He held up a long silvery cloak. Fred cocked his head. "A cloak?" James grinned. "Not just any cloak; an Invisibility Cloak! Watch," he said before draping the cloak over his head, covering his entire body. But, his entire body was gone! Fred's jaw hit the floor. "Wow! Definitely that, definitely that!" he exclaimed.

They took the Cloak and headed back to the basement. They played with the Cloak for about ten minutes before falling asleep. James woke up to a scolding Teddy. "G'morning, Ted. How'd you sle-" he was interrupted by his god brother holding up the Cloak, his hair turned an angry crimson. "I told you to stay out of the study! You need to return it, now!" he scolded. "But Ted! Look at what it can do!" James tried to explain. "No! The adults went to breakfast to celebrate Uncle Percy being appointed assistant Minister for Magic, and when they come back, it will be back in the study. Understood?" he said.

James sighed, "Okay." All of the "Wotters", Teddy, and Scorpius got dressed and were playing Chess and Exploding Snap. "Alright James, return the Cloak, now," Teddy commanded. "Alright," James reluctantly said. He entered the study with Teddy closely behind him. He was returning the Cloak to the shelf when he tripped over a pile of books on the floor.

He tried to grab a thick book from the shelf to keep him from falling, but it just went down with him. He used it to shield his face and crashed into the hourglass. The impact of James falling and the huge book was enough to make it crack. "James! Are you okay?" Teddy rushed to his side. All of the cousins (plus Scorpius) appeared in the door way. "What happened? James! Are you okay?" Lucy asked. James stood, his fingers bleeding from the broken glass. 'Yeah, I think."

"James," breathed Rose, "the hourglass!" The sand in the hourglass was swirling into a cloud. The last thing that happened before the cloud swallowed them all was the adults walking in and seeing their children all vanish.
