Z'S POV
I opened my eyes, blinking several times, to get used to the room, when I heard a beeping noise, happening continually, in small ticks of time. I looked around the room for the first time since my waking two mintues ago, seeing that I was in fact in the hospital. The door creaked open, in coming, everyone, even my parents and Austin. Just glad not to see Mallia, I mean it.
"Hey, Z. You OK?"My mom asked. I tired to speak, but nothing came out.
"She just woke up, her voice can come and go from time to time"Luke stated, looking at my parents who looked semi-worried. Luke's grin, made me want to glare at him, but I didn't, he was sweet and lovable. "Don't look at me like that! Aw, are you mad at me?"
"No"my voice came out hoarse, almost audable though. At least you wouldn't make me have to write what I was saying on paper.
"She's proabably gonna sound like that for a couple of days. She did a lot more screaming than I did."Luke says.
"I can confirm that!"Austin says out of no where, being a bit too hyper for me.
"Can I walk to my parents a few minutes? Alone?"I asked, louder than last time but it kinda hurt.
"Uh, yeah, I will be back though, missy"Kailiee said, pointing at me.
"I missed you mom, dad"I said, when everyone left.
"We missed you too, sweetheart. We would have come to visit but we have our jobs. We took time off because of family issues, i.e you"Dad explained.
"I understand, dad"I laughed, hearing my voice coming back to normal, at least for now. I didn't really inherit anything from my mother, she's a blonde and I'm just as tall as her and I'm only 17. Dad's pretty tall though, and I have the same skin tone and shade of eyes and a bit lighter hair than him. But my mom can sing and my dad can't really.
"We love you, you know that, baby girl?"Mom questioned, mom calls me 'baby girl' and dad calls me 'sweet heart' or 'sweetie' and the occasional 'baby'. Mom it's either 'baby girl', 'Z', or not very often 'Sahara' Because of my name, I don't like it but I deal with it.
"Yeah, why mom?"I asked, looking o her guilty face.
"Your father and I are divorcing, it's not working anymore"mom said, looking down with dad.
"Ok? I knew about the small fights when I was younger, but I live by myself right now. I don't think it's that big of a deal"I sighed, not wanting to sound mean to my parents of all people.
"Ok sweetie, we'll come and see you tomorrow, Ok?"
"Ok dad, I love you both."I said, as they left. Luke came in and sat next to me on the bed.
"This is my fault."
"No it's not, Luke."
"Look at who can talk again!"He exclaimed.
"Don't you dare say it's your fault ever again!"I said, loudly, pointing at him. "I'm sorry, but it's not your fault Luke, I-"I went on.
"If we hadn't started dating we wouldn't be in the situation!"He yelled, getting up and away from me, "It's my fault you are in the position!"He screamed.
"Luke it's not your fault! I might have been here anyways from, I dunno suicide! It was my fault in the first place!"I yelled back ,regretting it. "It's not your fault, Luke"I said, my voice hoarse again.
"It's not yours either, Z. Don't ever blame yourself for something that wasn't your fault anyways"He said, tears flowing on his cheeks, I waved him over to me.
"It hurts to talk, please come here, Lukey"I said, voice not in very good condition anymore. Luke came over slower than expected, then leaned his head on mine, tears still falling. I cupped his face, wiping away the falling tears. "I won't blome myself if you don't. It's Mallia's fault anyways"I whispered, making sure he would hear. He nodded. I leaned in and kissed him softly. "I love you forever and always"I kissed his nose softly.
"Forever and always, I love you"Luke said, laying beside me. "I'll have a sirprise for you later, you've heard it before, might even be your ringtone"He smirked, as I lied there, drifting back into sleep.
