All of the Weasley-Potter cousins, and Teddy and Scorpius, landed on the ground with a thump. "Is everyone okay?" asked Teddy. He was aiming it mostly at Victoire, though. "Yeah, I think so," Albus replied as he stood up.
He looked around the setting. It was nighttime, and they were in some sort of field. In the distance, he could see some light. "Teddy! I see some light! Maybe we can ask some people where we are," Albus suggested. "Good idea, Al. I don't even know how this happened, they never covered Apperating hourglasses in Auror training," Teddy said, inadvertently lightening the mood. Then everyone pulled out their wands (luckily they all had them when they were sucked up into the cloud), and conjured Lumos.
They trudged through the long grass and mud of the field for about a mile, because only Teddy, Victoire, and Dominique knew how to Apparate, and they didn't know where they were going, so they weren't going to just, appear. "Guys, I'm the oldest, so I'll do the talking her, okay?" Teddy asked, although it was more of an order than a suggestion.
"Wait a minute, is that your guys' house, Dom?" Lucy asked once the building was in sight. Everyone looked towards. "It is!" Vic exclaimed. "That's strange, why did breaking the hourglass Apparate us to Uncle Bill's house?" Rose asked. Her face was a little shiny from the muggy night, which also made her red hair frizz up. "I don't know, but we can Floo back to Uncle Harry's house from home!" Louis exclaimed as he started sprinting towards the cottage. Everyone followed.
Louis had stopped in front of the door. "Go inside, Lou! It's hot out!" Roxanne complained. "This isn't our house," Louis said. "What do you mean it's not your house? It's right freaking there!" Molly exclaimed. "The paint is grey, not blue. Plus, the doormat and all of the patio furniture are gone," he said. "Just go inside!" everyone chorused. Louis pulled out his home key and opened the door.
He was right; Shell Cottage was completely different. The cute furniture was gone and replaced with old, patterned ones. The nice shag carpet was replaced by light hardwood. All of the family pictures were off of the walls. "What happened to our house?" Dominique asked disgusted. "Um, Teddy. Look what I found," Scorpius said to his cousin. He held up a calendar, from 1997! "We're in 1997!?" all of the Weasley-Potters chorused.
"That's impossible, right Teddy?" Lily asked warily. "I don't kno-" Teddy stopped mid-sentence, as if an idea popped into his head. "Oh God," he breathed. "What?" James asked, letting his tough-guy guard down for once. Teddy's face paled. "What Teddy? What?"
"That wasn't an hourglass, guys," Teddy explained. "It was a Time Turner, transfigured to look like an hourglass, most likely to keep it from getting lost or stolen." His now pale blue eyes shifted to James and Fred's direction when he said the last two words. A worry-filled silence fell over the family. Lily grabbed Teddy's hand instinctively. "What do we do?" she asked.
"Isn't it obvious? We Floo to the Burrow and ask our parents for help," Fred said casually. "We can't," Teddy told his nervous family. "What? Why?" Molly demanded. "Because, if we interfere with our past life parents, we could change the future." "So?" "We could cancel our very existence." "What if we don't tell them who we really are, then we wouldn't change anything, would we?" Roxanne asked.
Teddy thought for a moment before his face lit up and his hair flashed a neon yellow. "Yeah, I bet!"
Ten minutes later, everyone was lined up in front of the fireplace, Teddy holding the Floo Powder. "Alright, we are all Flooing to the Burrow, and Vic will go first. We will go through the line and I will bring up the rear. Go straight there. Don't dilly-dally, kapeesh?" Lily and Hugo chorused, "Kapoosh!" Vic grabbed a handful of powder and stepped into the fireplace of her future home.
"The Burrow!" She dropped the powder and erupted in emerald green flames and when they cleared, she was gone. Everyone repeated the process until they were all at the Burrow, which was currently empty. "What do we do know, Teddy?" asked Lucy. "We wait. Preferably outside, that way it doesn't look like we broke in or knew how to get in," the turquoise-haired wizard recommended. All of the children and teens nodded, heading outside through the back door.
Dominique and Molly, who both recently turned 17, (about a month and a half ago for Dom, three months ago for Molly) Transfigured some fallen tree branches into cushioned couches for the wait. They waited for an hour and, due to it being late, all but Teddy and Vic fell asleep. The rest were awoken by a loud demand and a dozen wands being pointed at them.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" demanded a rough voice.
"We're sorry, we don't mean any harm!" blubbered Scorpius.
"Who are you?" barked the voice.
"Kingsley! They're just kids!"
"So? Molly, they could be-" "Kingsley" was cut off by all of the children.
"Molly?!"
A/N: Sorry this chapter took so long to write and is so short, I've been extremely busy. I know it's a bit short, but it's just getting good!
