My name is Sharon but people call me Shar most of the time. I currently live in Cali. I love it. Fancy place, nice people, huge mall, and the beach... a piece of heaven for me. Anyway, I'm a senior at Whitney High School, and to be honest I have the feeling that this year... is going to be full of surprises.

"I am so jealous right now Shar !" She screamed into the phone.

"Oh come on Emma, it's not a big deal," I responded. Even over the phone, I knew that she was silently saying "oh my God," and rolling her eyes. That was so her. If there was an award for most dramatic, Emma would win it hands down.

"Oh my God, oh my God...I can't believe it! I'd kill to be you right now, really. Oh my Goddddd ."she screamed again.

"Shut up silly. I'm just going to babysit. It is not a big deal!" I tried to really emphasize the 'it is not', but being Emma, she ignored it and continued yelling at me.

"You're going to babysit a Harrington Sharon, do you hear me? A FREAKING HARRINGTON!"

"Calm down, calm down Em! So what? It's not like I'm going to date him. He's only six!" I twisted in the bed and laid my feet against the wall and hung my head over the edge of the bed.

"Wow...You really don't know a thing about the Harringtons do you..."

I grabbed piece of my hair and twisted it in around my index finger. "Well... Let me think. I know they are my parents' friends since like forever, and that they have children and..." I tried to think long and hard. "That's it."

"I can't believe it... Oh my God. Yes, they have children. Actually they have four! How could you ignore something like that? Everyone knows this! But the question is how could you not know them if their parents are your parents' friends?"

I exhaled. Her enthusiasm was really beginning to bug me. "I don't know. Maybe when they all were at home and I wasn't there, but come on Em it's not going to change my life. Ok they have children, so freaking what?"

"Oh my God! Do you realize what you've just said? SHAR ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

Ok, she was really starting to freak me out. Emma has been my best friend since kindergarten. Long time huh? Maybe too long. But ever since I've known her, she has always acted that way, always screaming and super excited, and that's all the time...especially when it comes to boys. I thought with time it would get better, but heck no... It's gotten so much worse! Maybe we all just need that crazy girl in our life and deal with that even if it does cause numerous migraines.

"Shar? Shar are you there? Helloooo?"

" Oh yeah, sorry Em... I was thinking...what were you saying?"

"Aaaah, I hate you! Listen to me for God's sake!"

I sighed. What I tell you, dramatic. "Ok go on, I'm listening."

"As I was saying, the Harringtons have four children and...THEY'RE ALL BOYS! Well, the one that you're gonna baby-sit doesn't count. But oh my God I'm so excited for you... Listen, listeeeeen!"

"I'm listening to you IDIOT! Go on!"

" Ok, ok then! Are you ready? So one is sixteen years old well it's a little bit young for us but anyway then, hold on." Then she paused for like 30 seconds and I had to call her name a few times to make sure that she didn't hang up on me.

"ONEISEIGHTEENTHEOTHERONEISNINETEEN, OH MY GODDD."

"What the heck? Can you just slow down please?!" I could already feel an oncoming headache with all her screaming and yelling. I made a mental note to complain to her about it later.
