"You guys wake up!"

I turned over and covered my eyes with my blanket.

"Marian came back. Wake up!" The voice said again.

"Christopher! I will deck you in the nose if you don't stop yelling." I told the shaggy haired boy. He was quiet for a miracle second.

"No seriously you guys can't sleep anymore. Get up. Please." He said again, he sounded sincere this time. I rolled over to look at the direction he was in. I felt a stiff body next to me. I looked to make sure I knew who it was. It was Sally. I tried to remember if she had woken me up last night with one of her nightmares. I didn't remember waking up and talking to her. Maybe she was finally growing out of her nightmares. Maybe she'll get better now.

I looked up at the irritating boy with an annoyed look on his face and said, "We're coming, Christopher. Just let me get her up and dressed and we'll be out in a minute." I told him shooing him away. He looked at me with excited eyes and started walking down the hall, closing the wooden door behind him softly.

I sat up and looked through the window. It couldn't be any later than 7 in the morning. I decided to get myself ready before I got Sally up, just to give her a couple more minutes of sleep.

I got out of our pile of sleeping bags and blankets that we used as our bed. Trying not to wake the blonde, messy haired, girl up while tip toeing across the creaky wooden floor to the bedrooms closet that only contained about three outfits of mine and almost five outfits of Sally's.

I pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans, a black long sleeved shirt and my leather jacket. It was the middle of October and the weather was slowly getting colder. I pulled my pants up, having to jump a few times to get them completely on. I shoved the shirt over my head and adjusted the seam on the arms. When it finally felt comfortable I put my arms through the leather jacket. All I needed to do was find my socks and boots.

I turned to look at Sally, making sure she was still asleep. She doesn't like picking her own clothes so she has me pick. She needed to wear pants today, she would freeze if she wore one of her dresses. I took out one of the only pairs of pants she had and a sweater and jacket for her. She never liked to wear shoes or socks. "My feet are what carry me freely, they don't need to be caged in like animals, they need to run wild!" She would tell me every time I insisted her to put socks on but today she was just going to have to deal with caging those wild animals in.

Now was the perfect time to wake her up, she never argued in the morning, it was later in the day that I would have to worry about. I went over and started rubbing her back. I could tell she was starting to wake up. "Time to wake up, baby girl." I whispered to her. She just moaned in disapproval as her response. Her light green eyes slowly fluttered open. She turned her head away from the rising sun. She lifted her arms up towards me indicating to help her up.

I grabbed her small soft hands and started pulling her up to her feet.

"I don't want to be up yet, B.." She said in her delicate tone of voice.

"I know but Marian is visiting and everyone wants us out to see her." I told her pushing her head through the open hole in the shirt.

"But I don't like Marian. She's annoying and likes to touch my hair and face a lot. I hate it. I don't want to see her." She said scrunching up her nose and forehead. This girl had the key to my heart.

I laughed a little bit.

"I don't like her very much either but we have to act nice to her." I told her. I put her brown boots on her feet and laced them up. She slowly stood up and grabbed my hand.
