If you trusted me,

You would slip my leash,

and let me go.

If you trusted me,

you would lighten up,

and give me a chance.

If you trusted me,

you would take a step back,

and let me breathe.

If you trusted me,

you’d give me permission,

you’d let me go out.

If you trusted me,

you wouldn’t doubt me so much,

you would let me prove myself.

If you trusted me,

you would just trust me,

not just pretend.

You either trust me or not,

just make up your mind.
