I sat on the edge of my bed, breathing in slowly and calmly.

"Well bed, it's been great" I started, rubbing my hand along the mattress. "But I've found someone new, but don't worry I'll never forget our memories-"

"Why are you talking to your bed?" My little sister Mia asked me, walking into my room and placing her hand on her hip. I rolled my eyes and walked over to my suitcase', taking a look around and making sure I had everything I needed for collage.

"Why are you in my room?" I answered back to her.

"Just figuring out where I'm going to put my bed when you're gone" she smirked, pretending to measure the room with her hand.

I laughed out loud before picking up my backpack and heading out the door.

"In your dreams Mia. This is still my room no matter what"

"That's not what mum said" I turned to face her and my jaw hung open.

"What?"

"I wasn't suppose to tell you, but mum said I can have your room once you're all settled in to collage" I let go of my luggage and stormed down the stairs.

"Mum!" I said, raising my voice. I walked into the kitchen where she was making lunch. She looked up at us and smiled.

"Yes darling?"

"Why did you tell Mia she could have my room once I was gone?" Mum raised an eyebrow at Mia and stopped cutting the salad, folding her arms into her chest.

"I don't know, Mia you tell me" I looked at Mia her face going red with embarrassment.

"What?" She shrugged, picking up a piece of carrot. "I didn't think she would dob on me. It was a joke"

A smile formed on my lips, and I laughed.

"HA! Mum didn't say you could? That's exactly what I thought" I turned around, flicking my hair as I walked away.

"Why couldn't you just play along?" I heard Mia whine in the distance.
Mum just laughed and continued to chop.

After lunch I decided to start loading my car up with my things. The day was perfect for moving. I opened the boot of my car and tried lifting my super heavy suitcase into it, but I failed majorly. I dropped it off my foot and swore.

"Shit!" I bent down and placed pressure on my toes trying to stop the pain.

"Need a hand?" I heard a familiar voice ask, I turned around to find my neighbour Troy, walking over shaking his head laughing.

"Hey, it's not funny" I smiled.

"It is a little bit bug" he nudged me out the way and lifted my bags for me.

"You've gotta stop calling me that"

"You're welcome" he smirked, pointing to the bag he just lifted.

"Thank you"

"And I'm never gonna stop calling you bug. Bug"

"I know" I laughed. I leant against my car and Troy sat on my mailbox. "Where's Amelia?" I asked him, referring to his girlfriend.

"Inside" he answered, looking over the street to his grey house. Just as we did, we saw the curtains move and a very nosy figure rush off.
