The Beginning Of It All

It was dark and cold I had something on my face I just couldn't get off. I was screaming for hours but no one came. The thing on my face was slowly suffocating me and I couldn't shake the feeling who ever was doing this didn't want me alive. I sat here waiting and then I finally fell asleep and awoke to a surprise I was strapped down to a chair. I had a horrible feeling about what was going to happen next. Two men in white lab coats came in one looked like he was 70 years old and the other was younger. The old man asked the boy to take off the musslem off my face, and at the time I didn't even know I had a musslem on my face they were treating me like a wild dog or something but I never knew I was until later on that week. I could finally breathe I wondered what was to happen to me next. Drrrrr says a machine it was really bright so I couldn't see what it was. It scared me. I didn't know my name for the most part. Who were these people and what did they want with me? Is this the way I shall end? No it can't go down like this. I think as a scientist comes over to my chair and the boy looked at me and said " I'm sorry Sapphire." and then he gave me a shot that put me into a deep sleep with-out wondering what might happen next.

I woke up in relief that I was alive, but I was once again in the dark room. Then a sharp pain shocked me in my left shoulder. I rubbed it and felt a tattoo. Why would they have put me asleep just to give me a tattoo? I wondered. Then lights came on and my eyes burned like hell. I know realize that in the first 2 weeks being here I had a bed, mirror, sink, toilet, and they never thought of putting me on the bed. I heard footsteps and smelled something good. I could also here many other scientists talking about other patients and how they gradually changed. It took aproxemently 20 minutes and 30 seconds for the food to reach my door. I wondered why I could smell it so soon and for it too take so long to approach me. They slid the plate full of food under the slot near the door. I approached the sink and while washing my hand I looked at my face. As I dried my hands on my gown I heard another scientist say she was going to give me a tetnis shot to prove my immune system. I'm a vegetarian but my plate was filled with pounds of raw and cooked meats. I couldn't resist the temptation to eat the food so I did. After eating I laid on my bed to get rest. But the scientists came in and strapped me down roughly. While giving me the shot I screamed like crazy and my vision going blurry then one of the scientists yelled " shut-up you dumb ass wild animal I stopped and looked at him like he was crazy. It too every thing in me to look at him in his eyes and say what do you mean. "Oh Sapphire you're the new one you're one of our new animals." W-what am I? I questioned nervously. " wolf, but your still human I think !" He said laughing. Why me, what did I do.
