She hides her hurt with a smile,
even though inside her,
sadness was beginning to pile,
Her life was a blur,
She didn't feel like herself,
She felt numb,
Her heart like a pounding drum,
as she put the blade to her wrist,
she felt the pain sadness begin to fade,
Death was not her wish,
just enough pain to make the sadness dissapear,
this was the first,
but not the last time.
Her mind filled with fear,
Felt the worry begin to climb,
She was now completely addicted.
She told herself it wouldn't get this bad,
addiction was not what she had predicted,
sooner than later,
she wanted to look like the girls in the magazines,
no longer happy,
she was a faker,
began skipping meals,
watching her bones begin to show,
starving until her skeleton appeared,
she still wasn't good enough,
she believed she could stop,
she believed she was tough,
but the damage was already done.
Once again...
Society Won.
