Sugar High

I didn't know what to do, what to say, or how to act, so I did the first thing that came to mind and picked up a vase nearby before throwing it at the wall.

"Derp, calm down!" Ian says quickly.

"I am calm!" I yell, punching a whole into the wall.

"Derp, calm down, take a deep breath and relax." Ian says, trying to keep himself calm.

"I'm not going back, and you can't make me." I narrow my eyes at him.

Ian sighs, "It won't be for long...besides, you won't be alone!" He says, trying to comfort me the best he can.

He puts his hand on my shoulder, I look away refusing to face him, "When do I have to leave..."

"You have to leave with Kit and Gold, so either today or tomorrow." He explains again, "Hey, you'll be alright."

I look up at him, "Promise you'll still visit?"

Ian smiles, "Of course I will." He says like it was obvious.

"Yeah, let's go!" Adam runs into the living room holds keys in his hand.

"Do they know about me?" I ask.

"Adam knew, but only because Seto could not keep his mouth shut and told Ty and, well, yeah." I slowly turn my head to the left and see Sshadee standing beside me.

"Come on, what are we waiting for!?" Adam yells once again.

"Wait, where are we going?" I ask as Adam grabs my wrist and pulls me out the door, Ian following behind us.

I look back at Ian, he only shrugs. Adam throws open the car door and pushes me in, Ian getting in quickly before he's pushed in too. I sit up and look up at the front, Adam slides over the front of the car and hops into the front seat, starting the car afterwards. Before Adam can even step on the gas, Gold and Kit jump in the car, leaving Ian and I to be squished together.
Ian reaches over me and grabs the seat belt, making sure I'm buckled with him before we leave who knows where.

After an hour or so, I lean over to Ian and lay my head down, he instantly puts an arm around me and I close my eyes.

"Derp, Derp wake up." I could hear Ian whisper in my ear, trying to wake me up.

I want to wake up, but I'm too tired and lazy to do so. I groan in annoyance as someone picks me up bridal style and pulls me out of the car, I slowly peek one eye open, bright lights blinding me for a second, before seeing Ian's smiling face looking down at me.

"Derp, wake up." He says quietly.

I close my eye and shake my head.

"Hmm, that's too bad, I was really looking forward to riding the rollercoaster with you." He says, that makes me wake up instantly.

I open my eyes and look around frantically, a grin on my face as I look at the amusement park surrounding us.

Ian laughs before carefully putting me down, I run towards the entrance of the park as soon as my feet hit the ground. Adam quickly races me to the line, I win of course. Unfortunately Adam had to get infront of me to pay, but as long as I get to go in, I didn't care. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turn around, a little girl with big, wide, green eyes stared at me.

"Are you Ssundee?" She asks with a lot of hope and excitement in her small voice.

I blink, thinking of what I'm going to say before actually saying it, "No, that's my brother."

The girl does a dramatic gasp, "Are you Derp Ssundee!?!?"

I nod slowly, the girl backs away before running to, what I assume is, her family. I frown, and turn away.

A moment later, I hear giggling from behind me, a quick glance back and I see a bunch of kids standing there, staring at me. I turn and they hide behind each other, laughing and giggling, some squeaking. Before I could say anything, Ian grabs my arm and pulls me away into the crowd of people, and into the park. We wander around for awhile, playing a few games, Gold even won a game and received a stuffed animal as a prize, we were very surprised by that. He won a blue and white stuffed Penguin.

Gold and Kit were hungry after that, so we stopped and got some food, even though Ian warned them to wait till after riding rides. They didn't listen. And unfortunately, neither did I. Ian thought it was a bad idea, but he bought me a cotton candy, I took a huge bite out of it. At that point, everything got...brighter. Time seemed to slow down for a minute as I looked around, I felt amazing! Like I could do anything! Ian looked at me concerned but tried to ignore it as I pulled him into a fun house.

I didn't know what I was doing, or where anyone was, I couldn't think clearly, and I could feel my heart beating like crazy. I lost Ian in the maze of mirrors, fascinated easily by the funny images they created just by my reflection. I ran around helplessly, sometimes running into the mirrors, it took me awhile to realize that I couldn't just walk through them. I wasn't panicking, no, I was too excited for that. I could hear my name being called in the background but I didn't pay attention till Ian grabs me from behind, arms wrapped around my waist as he drags me out of the fun house.

After that, I lead Ian over to a rollercoaster, it looked fun, then again I was so high from sugar that anything looked 'fun' to me. Ian was nervous, holding my hand as we got in the small car. A man made sure we had these seat belt types of things on and a bar was pulled down to probably keep us in during the ride. Ian squeezed my hand as the car started to move, it went up slowly, higher and higher till we reached the top. The car jolted downward and I was forced to lean back as the speed picked up. Kit and Gold were in a car together right behind us, looking back at them, they didn't look too good. At the end of the ride, Gold and Kit jumped out and emptied their stomachs of any and all food.

"Okay, I think it's time we head home, looks like these two could use some sleep." Adam says, coming literally out of nowhere to tell us this.

The sugar rush was starting to wear off as we headed to the exit. Looking around, my eyes caught sight of a girl sitting on the ground, back against a wall of a building, she looked at me blankly, eyes held no emotion. In the girls hand she held a small pocket knife that she obsessively kept opening and closing. I'm suddenly snapped out of whatever daze I was in as I walk right into Gold, apparently we've all stopped walking and my brain was so busy that it forgot to tell my feet to stop. Gold, who was already dizzy and clumsy in the first place, fell forward which knocked another dizzy and clumsy person over, Kit. It was like dominos, Kit fell forward and knocked Sky forward who fell right into Ian. Everyone was now playing a fun game of, get the fuck off of me, I can't move, someone help.

After everyone was up, we all piled into the car and headed home, a nice feeling a dread washing over me topped with the terrifying thought of not being with Ian. But hey, don't forget that great feeling of being surrounded by complete morons in a locked and secure building where there's no way out. Love it.

"No more sugar for you, for like a month." Ian suddenly says.

I look at him slightly confused on why.

"Your eyes are wide, your heart is racing dangerously, you're hyper, and when this sugar rush ends you're gonna have a bad time." He explains.

But alas, he was too late, the sugar had already worn off, drowsiness and sarcasm filling in for the hyper and excitement that went on a holiday. I lean on Ian, my body going limp, too tired to move or speak, but it didn't matter since like a minute after that, darkness took over, and I welcomed the incoming sleep.
