You woke up to someone shaking you. You opened your eyes to see Melody sitting beside you.

"Thank goodness your awake! I was starting to become worried! Are you OK (y/n)?" Melody asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just a bit sore. Did you fall down too?" You asked. Melody shaked her head and pointed to a vine on the wall. It was too high to reach but low enough that it wouldn't hurt when someone let go.

Melody helped you up. You looked down and saw a bed of yellow flowers. You rubbed your head a bit and looked around. You saw a hallway and walked towards it. Melody followed you and kept a hold of your arm for protection. You walked into a room and saw a flower...with a face.

"Howdy! I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower! You two must be new to the Underground. There is no one better than me to show you how things work around here!" The flower said. Melody started to walk towards the flower but you stopped her. Your 'feelings' told you he was bad news.

Suddenly, everything went black. Hearts appeared in front of you and Melody. Yours was (f/c) while Melody's was yellow.

"See that heart? That is your soul! It's the very culimation of your being. Your soul starts off weak , but it can become stronger with some LV. What's LV? Why, LOVE of course. Down here, LOVE is shared through little white 'friendliness pellets'. Go ahead and get as many as you can." Flowey said. White pellets started to fly towards you. You grabbed Melody's hand and dragged her out of the way of the pellets.

Flowey's face became distorted. "You know what's going on here, don't you? Hehehe! DIE!" The flower said. The pellets surrounded you and melody.

Your 'feelings' told you that you were going to be safe. You reassured Melody and braced yourself. Suddenly, a fire ball appeared and shot Flowey away. A goat woman walk up to you and Melody.

"What a horrible creature, torchering such poor humans. Hello, I am Toriel, caretaker of the ruins. What are your names?" The goat woman asked.

"My name is (y/n)! This is Melody!" You said confidently. Your 'feelings' told you she was kind.

"Such nice names! Come, I will guide you through the catacombs." Toriel said. She started to walk to the next room.

"(Y-y/n), is she g-good?" Melody asked.

"Don't worry Mel. She is good." You said calmly. Melody relaxed. You could tell she was still scared and that it might take a while for her to trust Toriel, but you knew she would eventually.

You lead Melody to the room Toriel walked into. You saw two sets of stair s that led to another doorway. In between the stairs, there was a large pile of red leaves. You are filled with DETERMINATION.

You and Melody follow Toriel into the next room. Toriel explains puzzles to you both and continues to the next room. The room was long and had two water flows with bridges. You saw three levers. Toriel had you both flip the levers. Toriel walked to the next room.

"As humans living in the Underground, monsters may attack you. Strike up a conversation and I will come to resolve the conflict. Here try practicing with this dummy." Toriel explained. You walked up to the dummy and everything went black. Your (f/c) heart appeared in front of you.

"So, how are you?" You asked. The dummy said nothing. Melody came up and cleared her throat.

"Hey handsome! Do you have a map? Cuz I'm getting lost in your eyes." Melody said with a smirk. You were about to start laughing when you saw the dummy blush. It then floated away. You couldn't help it and burst out laughing. Melody joined you.

"Well...That was interesting...l-let's move on." Toriel said with a confused look on her face. She walked into the next room.

After you two finished laughing, You went into the next room. "There is another puzzle in this room. I wonder if you can solve it." You follow her through a twisting hallway and encounter a fight. The monster's name was Froggit. Melody stepped up again.

"You are looking very handsome!" Melody said with a wink. You saw the Froggit blush. Toriel came and gave the frog an angry look. It ran away in fear.

You looked and saw a sign on the wall. It read: The western room is the eastern room's blueprint. You shrugged and continued behind Toriel. She stopped before the puzzle. You saw spikes on the floor.

"This is the puzzle, but... Here take my hand. Puzzles seem a little too dangerous for now." Toriel said. You grabbed her hand and Melody grabbed onto your shoulders. The puzzle looked quite easy, but it was still a little dangerous. Toriel walked to the next room.

"You have done excellently thus far my children. I have a difficult request to ask of you. I would like you both to walk to the end of the hallway without me." Toriel said. Without warning she ran down the hallway. You both looked at each other confused. When you looked back, Toriel was gone. You and Melody walked down the hallway. Once you got to the end, you stopped to look at the pillar. Suddenly, Toriel walked out from behind the pillar.

"Do not worry my children, I did not leave you. I was behind this pillar the whole time. Thank you for trusting me. However, there was an important reason for this exercise. To test your independance. I must attend to some things and will be back soon. Here, take this phone. Call me if you need anything. Goodbye my children." Toriel said. She handed you an old looking cell phone and walked out of the room.

You and Melody sat beside the pillar and waited for a while. "I want to call her." You said.

"What why?" Melody asked.

"I just want to say hi." You said smiling. You called Toriel and talked to her for a minute and she hung up. A few minutes later, you did it again. You called her five more times just to say hello.

"Ooo, I want to call her!" Melody said. You handed her the phone and she called Toriel.

"Hey there sexy! Your looking beautiful in that dress." Melody said. You heard Toriel laughing and started laughing yourself. Melody flirted with her a few more times and gave you the phone back. After a bit, Toriel called you.

"Sorry, my errands are taking longer than expected. You will have to wait longer, I am sorry." Toriel said.

"It's ok mom, we can wait." You said. Not realizing that you called her mom.

"D-did you just call me mom?" Toriel asked.

"I did?" You asked. You looked at Melody and she nodded. "I-i'm sorry. I didn't mean to call you that! I..." You said blushing.

"Calm down my child, you may call me whatever you would like. I don't understand why you would call me that though. You must have a mother on the surface so why call me yours?" Toriel asked. Your eyes went wide and filled with tears. Melody grabbed the phone and walked off talking to Toriel. You started to silently cry. You missed your parents and you felt like it was your fault that they were gone. After a little bit, Melody came back and handed you the phone.

"Toriel wants to talk to you." Melody said. You grabbed the phone and put it to your ear.

"Y-yeah?" You asked.

"I'm sorry my child. I did not know you are an orphan. I am terribly sorry to talk about such a touchy subject. If you would like a family, I could be your mother. I do not mind. Besides, I did lose my son. So I wouldn't mind having someone around to call my daughter." Toriel explained. You thanked ger and hung up.

"Alright Mel. It's time to head out." You said.

"But, Toriel told us to stay here." Melody said.

"I know, but we have to go. I want to stay and wait for mom but my feeling tells me that we need to go." you said. The word mom came out confidently. You felt happy being able to say that after so long. Melody nods and you both walk out of the room.
