Narrator POV

Natsu found Lucy barely breathing laying unconscious on the floor in the girls locker room.

Natsu's POV

Lucy!!!

I pick her up as carefully as I could, trying hard not to hurt her anymore than she already is. I run out the back of the school where no one can see us.

Letting my dragon senses take over, my big, red dragon wings surround the air. Pushing off with all my force, we burst into the air at almost the speed of light heading to my home, the dragons cave in the mountains.

Come on Luce, hang in there!!!!! She's getting colder. She's lost a lot of blood and looks lifeless.

After about 8 minutes going high speed in the air, I finally get to my cave.

Hello son. How was.....

Before he could finish his sentence, Igneel smelled the sent of blood, and a dying girl.

I set Lucy on the table against the wall.

Is this your mate son? Igneel asked with a stern yet worried expression.

I didn't respond, I only looked at Lucy. Wondering what to do next. Suddenly out of instinct, I had this feeling like I had to cut myself. I realized what was happening so I made a claw form on one of my fingers and slit my wrist.

I held my wrist against my mouth and sucked on it, filling my entire mouth with my blood. I sat down next to Lucy, gently lifting her up having her lower back laying on my lap while my arms and hands are elevating her upper region.

I move my head, slowly getting closer to her bruised yet beautiful face until there was no more space between us and our lips connected. I slowly opened a a small gap of my mouth so that I won't overwhelm her with my blood.

Lucy starts to unconsciously drink every drop of my blood slowly healing in the process. When she had drank all of the blood I gave her, I looked at her. She was getting her color back and her bruises were healing at a rapid pace.

Oh thank god. I said to myself full of instant relief. I look at mt wrist and see that it's instantly healed which didn't surprise me because it did that ever since I was born.

What happened to her Natsu? Igneel whispered to me trying not to wake up Lucy.

I don't know. At the school there was this go that would go after Lucy. She probably did this to her when o wasn't there. I suddenly felt pain in my body and rushed to see Lucy when I saw her almost at her death bed.

I'm so stupid, I should have been with her the entire time. Stupid girls locker rooms. I murmured to myself.

Natsu, you can't blame yourself for this. Igneel said trying to calm him down. Just think about the present. You have found your mate, and now it's your job to take care of her son.

With that last statement, Igneel left the cave.

I already knew why he left, he told me a couple weeks before.

Flashback

Son.

Yeah dad?

I will be leaving once you have brought your mate here so that you can start treating process with her or him (A/N just because he's a boy doesn't mean his mate can't possibly be one ;)) so you guys can have privacy.

Ok, but when will you be back?

Just call me telepathically when you guys are comfortable and ready for me to come back. I will be staying in another cave somewhere across the world with other dragons.

End of Flashback

So it's just you and me now Luce. I whispered to her feeling her soft golden hair.

Time skip

It's already dark. I've been watching Luce ever since Igneel left 7 hours ago.

Lucy has finally started waking up.

Uggghh my head. She says grabbing onto my head. She looks around the cave not really noticing me.

Where am I?

Luce.

She suddenly looks at my direction with a shocked expression. I walk up to her when she starts to move back.

It's ok, I brought you here so that I could treat you.

She starts to calm down and lets me sit next to her.

Tell me what happened. I said while holding onto her hand. We have only known each other for a day and she is already starting to feel comfortable near me, sure she is still shy and a little scared, but she is starting to get better then when I first met her this morning.

Where am I? She quietly asked.

We're in a cave up in the mountains. I said calmly.

W-Why are w-we in the m-mountains?

Because I live here. I grinned at her.

She got up off of the table and started to walk near the edge of the mountain.

Be careful, you could fall if you get to close to the edge Luce.

Why d-do y-you live in a c-cave Natsu? She said stuttering.

I got up and walked a little bit closer to her, but not as close because I don't know how she'll react when I show her this. I closed my eyes, breath slowly, concentrating on every transforming nerve in my body.

Luce, don't get scared after I show you this. I tell her preparing her for what she's about to see.

I slowly open my eyes as they turned from dark brown, almost black, to a bright crimson. My, dark red scales are forming in my skin. Long horns are coming out of my head. My black claws are forming in my fingernails. A long tail starts to appear from behind me and finally my big, red wings spread out surrounding the air around it. I look at Lucy. She's speechless.

Lucy's POV

I look at Natsu. He's turning into a dragon. His red crimson eyes to the wings on his back.

I know I should be scared. I should be screaming! Begging him to not kill me! But I didn't. I look into his bright, crimson eyes and I don't see the eyes of a predator, of a killer. No. I look into his eyes and it's like he's begging me to except him. To not hate and be scared of him. His eyes, they were mesmerizing.

I slowly walk up to Natsu. Step by step, getting closer to the person that can form dragon features on his built, tan, muscular body.

This isn't me, but I'm ok with it. I thought to myself.

A foot away from him, I never lose contact with his bright red eyes as they look straight at me. Not breaking contact. I slowly raise my hand and put it against his face.

Once Natsu felt my touch, he put more weight on my hand, closing his eyes and resting his head on my palm.

He then grabs my hand and and pulls me into his embrace. It shocked me for a moment, but I quickly got used to it.
