Chapter 13

---Andy---

I sat their next to Espi for what seemed like hours. I watched as how peaceful she looked while sleeping. I know I shouldn't be doing this...this is all Jake's job now...but if he truly loved her, he would be here right now. Where is he? His own girlfriend is I'm the hospital and he doesn't care enough to help her? I feel anger rise inside of me and my heart turn cold. All the love that I once had for Espi has now been replaced by my new found anger towards Jake. If Espi doesn't love me than she shouldn't love anyone. I hear her make a noise and I look at her beautiful face. I slowly stroke her cold cheek and check for a pluse. She's still alive, but barely as the doctors said. They told me I was lucky when I found her and brought her in when I did, because if I was just 3 minutes later, she would have been dead. I can't have her die...if she dies, I die...I feel brave enough to slowly move her left wrist and I have Gerard help me since he's on her left side. We see a huge opening in her skin and it was deep. You could almost see bone. The doctors said they could stitch it up, they just needed to sterilize some needles.

I heard someone come running into the room and it was Jake. Suprizing, I didn't feel the need to kill him. I whispered for him to be quiet and he took Gerard's place since he wanted to go out looking for Veronica. She had left a while ago amd he's worried sick about her. Jake took the seat on Espi's left side and I could see the tears in his eyes. He was truly upset over this whole thing. I whispered that I still love her and he told me he feels the same. I said I guess she's just going to have to choose between us when she wakes up...if she ever wakes up...

I had to find Veronica. She been gone over an hour and not a word from her since. What if someone kills her or kidnaps her?!? Ok Gerard. Take a deep breath. Just go outside and start walking. Your heart will lead you to your love, always. My mother used to say that to me all the time...I started to walk onto this long, foggy, And unforgiving road. I walked for what seems like a lifetime, And than I saw someone lying motionless on the ground. It was Veronica. I start running towards her and I get down on my hands and knees next to her. Hot tears form in my eyes as I can tell she's not breathing. I start giving her mouth to mouth and crying. "LIVE GOD DAMN IT VERONICA!! LIVE!!!" I scream as loud as I can manage. I could tell that wasn't going to work so, while crying, I lifted up her heavy head and kissed her as passionately as I could. I felt her pulse once again and it was coming back. She was starting to breath again. Those once sad tears turned into sobs of joy as I sat her up and hugged her as tight As possible. She started coughing so I relased my killer grip.

Me: "I...I thought you died..."

Veronica: "I thought I was going to die..."

Me: "Listen Veronica...I want to just apologize for what I said ealier. I understand that you don't feel the same and that's ok..."

Veronica: "Gerard. I do love you. I just had to get some air because I couldn't believe that was really happening."

Me: "R...really??"

Veronica: "Haha yes really! Now get off your Ass and help me."

Me: "Haha ok. Will you explain to me what happened though?"

Veronica: "Of corse I will babe."

She smiled as I picked her up bridal style and carried her all the way to the hospital. We reached Espi's door and saw a pacing Jake and Andy in front of her room.

Me: "What happened??"

Andy/Jake: "She stopped breathing."
