Wishes of a Lullaby

Chapter 1

   

     What if you could wish for one thing? The one thing you had always wanted. Or something new you wanted. And it came with everything you could possibly dream of. What would you wish for? Would it be the new Justin Bieber song for a prep or the new Black Veil Bride CD for a emo girl? Would it be to see someone in concert? To get someone to like you?

    Raven Blackbird sat in the back of the classroom listening to her thoughts and nothing else. She drwned out the annoying English teacher that was telling her something about-well she didn't even know. She thought about one thing. Her wish. If she got one wish she knew exactly what she'd wish for. She'd wish to see her new boyfriend. He wasn't a normal boyfriend. He was the emo hot guy that lived thousands of miles from her.  All she wanted was to see him for once. To be with him. He was on Ravens mind all the time. And she was shocked when he asked her out three nights ago.

   Raven was very pretty but she didn't think she was. She had black hair that was teased, lots of eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, a perfect facial structure, sea blue eyes that you could easily get lost in. She was very skinny and her boobs were the perfect size. Raven had three piercings; one lip, her eyebrow, and her nose. Today Raven wore black skinny jeans, a black veil bride shirt, her fishnet arm things, her chains, and her converse. The fishnets were to hide her scars when she didn't want them showing and they were just cool.

     Ring ring. The bell rang signaling the end of the long torturous day. Raven sprang from her seat and walked as fast as possible, with her head down, to her locker. She grabbed her bag and immediately went for her ipod. She put her headphones in and began playing Knives and Pens. She walked towards her bus when she felt the sudden erge to walk the 15 minutes to her house. So she did. Except she took a different path. A shortcut through the woods. A shortcut no one knows about besides her because she made it when she really needed to get away to the park at the school.

    Raven walked through the forrest singing along to he rmusic not even realizing when the little girl came up in front of her until she almost trampled over the little girl. Raven took one headphone out and her eyes widened.

"What are you doing here little girl?" she asked the girl.

"Raven..be careful. You don't know me. But you have to be careful. Be careful of what you wish for. Don't wish for the wrong things. Wish for the one thing you want, the one thing you love," the girl answered.

Raven was fucking confused.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"You'll see. Now go home and cherish what you have Raven. You're special. Different. We all know it. Now go, shoo!"

   And surprisingly Raven ran away fromt he sketchy girl. She didn't stop running until she got home. She ran inside and slammed the door shut. She was panting and her mother and brother looked at her like she was crazy. The only thing she got out before a giant pain in her stomach came was; "Crazy."

     Raven woke up to an annoying beeping nose. She wished the stupid thing would stop and shockingly it did. Raven was confused but she didn't care. She knew she was in a hospital. But the only thing she remembered was saying "crazy" before she passed out. She also knew that she had a major headache.

"Oh Raven! You're awake! Finally! We've been waiting for you!" her mother said.

"Mom? What's going on?"

"After you passed out we brought you here. We're still not sure what happened to you that made you lose conciousness."

"Gah, how long have a been out?"

"About a week I believe."

"Jesus christ.

"Raven, what did you mean by crazy?"

"I don't really remember. Where's my ipod?!"

Her mom laughed.

"It's right here, and it's all charged and everything."

"Thank you!"

     Her mom left her alone and Raven got online to find about a million messages from Alecs,her boyfriend. She told him she was sorrya nd thats she's been passed out and unsure why. He wished her luck and they began a normal conversation. Raven put her headphones in her ears and this time Rebel Love Song came on. She smiled knowing this was her and Alecs song. She hummed along and smiled as they talked. They flirted, talked, same old kinda thing.

    After Rebel Love Song some wierd song she didn't know came on. She didn't think it was on her ipod before, let alone her playlist. She looked at it and the title said Wishes of a Lullaby. It was mostly piano and acoustic guitar and the words kinda went like this:

Don't you kow that the best way is to sing a song

Of love and disaster...

    And so forth. It wasn't a bad song but it put her into a trance. She couldn't move, it was like she was hymptnotized. She was paralyzed. All she thought inside her head was Alecs. And next thing you know she was listening to the end of the song. It was a talking part. She was saying it inside her head and she didn't even know it! It was kinda like a chant. I sing and sing and I wish and wish. I sing this song and wish a kiss. I wish for one thing. I wish for it forever. Right now I'm listening and right now I wish for, and then she completed the thought by thinking, I wish I was living with Alecs. We're still dating but I live close to him so i see him everyday!

And then she was unconcious yet again. And this time she saw her whole life flash between her eyes. It scared her and she was s confused about what was happening. What was happening? She made a wish! Wishes don't come true..right?
