Falling Teardrops

Chapter One: Introduction

Beep beep beep. "Shut up stupid alarm.", said Lauren." Beep beep beep. "I said shut up!!!" Beep beep beep. Lauren reached over to her night stand and grabbed her alarm and threw it at the wall. "Boom." "Lauren! What the hell was that?", said Lauren's mom. "Sorry mom. I just threw my alarm at the wall, because I wanted to go back to sleep." "Well you're supposed to get up anyways, because it's the first day of school remember?", said her mom. "Oh yes! I forgot! I need to get ready!" Lauren finally went to her closet and picked out her outfit. She decided to wear a black crop top with a pair of high waisted white shorts with a black belt, topped with some white Vans. Lauren chose to style her hair by crimping it. Her makeup was just some natural eyeshadow, heavy mascara, some sunny bronzer, foundation, and some light pink lipstick. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Lauren had always been the type of skater girl, so she wore a black beanie too. "Come down and get your breakfast hun! And since it's the first day of senior year, I got you your favorite!", said mom. "What?! You bought me chocolate donuts?!", said Lauren. "With sprinkles.", said mom. "Ooo yay! Thanks mom!" Anytime sweetie, anytime." After Lauren finished her breakfast she grabbed her backpack and skateboard and skated off to school.

"Hey Travis!", said Lauren. Travis turned around and said, "Lauren! How was your summer?" Travis had the prettiest blue eyes that you can imagine, he also is tall, has blonde hair, is a football player, smart, and sweet. There was only one problem with Travis. He was a player. He can date a girl, then date her sister the next day. Lauren's always had a crush on him, but Travis was occupied dating other girls besides her, because, unfortunately, he only thinks of Lauren as a friend. Lauren actually does a great job at holding back her feelings for him though. "I don't even know where to start!", said Lauren. "It's okay. We still have thirty more minutes until the bell rings." "We do? I didn't know that.", giggled Lauren. "Well, I went on vacation to Paris, and I did a lot of community volunteering activities." "Wow. That's really cool!", said Travis. "Thanks. So what did you do for the summer?", said Lauren. "I went on vacation to Miami, Florida, I got a job as a life guard, and guess what?" "What?", curious, said Lauren. "I met this really hot girl. Her name's Tiffany." "Oh...um...cool.", said Lauren. The bell had rung for first period, so Lauren walked to the classroom, heart broken.
