Here is chapter 14, y'all! I loved writing this chapter and I know it drags a little, but the next couple are going to be good!! I was going to keep going, but decided to cut it where I did. So please read and vote vote vote! Thanks guys.
The song I used in this chapter is Got A Little Drunk Last Night by Eli Young Band. I love this new song and this band so I will definitely use their music again later.
And I mentioned the two Lexus' in this chapter which I have posted pictures of on the side (the LFA I'll post pics of in chapter 13, since I can only upload one). My dad actually still has the SC430, but I hope to drive it sometime in my lifetime, and the LFA is a dream car:) LOL
Chapter 14
Michael’s POV
When I turned into the driveway and cut the engine, I sat in the truck for a bit, thinking back to tonight with Ivy. I was glad I had taken her to the lake, since it was so important to me. Smiling as I remembered the way her arms fit around me so well when she hugged me, I opened the truck door and hopped out, grabbing the basket of waters and heading inside. When I walked in, I went to the kitchen to see Simon and my parents sitting at the kitchen table.
Stopping in the doorway, I looked at their faces. They seemed oddly enthusiastic which scared me. “Um, hey guys. What’s up?” I asked cautiously as I walked in, putting the basket on the counter and taking out the waters. Putting them in the fridge and placing the basket on top I took a deep breath and turned around to face my family.
When I turned, I was startled to see my mom standing directly behind me, a huge smile on her face. She grabbed me and hugged me, squealing. I was almost a foot taller than her, but she had some strength, for I could hardly breathe in the tight embrace. Struggling against her, she finally released me. I leaned against the counter, trying to distance myself as I caught my breath. “Ma, what was that?” I asked breathless.
“Oh, baby, Simon told us when we got home that you went on a date tonight! So, what’s her name? What does she look like? Is she nice, pretty, smart” my mom continued throwing me questions, as I looked over her head at Simon. He smiled sheepishly at me, as he stood up and edged his way to the door to leave while he still could. I sent him my best you’re so dead face as I watched him leave, abandoning with me with mom and dad.
Turning to dad, as mom continued asking me questions, I begged him silently to help me. He seemed to get the message as he walked over placing a hand on moms shoulder. “Hon, give him so space. He just walked in, give him some space and he will tell us about this girl in a bit,” he said, pulling mom away from me. She was pouting as he led her out of the room towards the family room. Sighing in relief, I quickly picked my way upstairs before she escaped from dad.
As I got to the top of the stairs, I debated whether or not to kill Simon or wait till the morning. Nah, I’ll wait. Make him worry I decided, smiling wickedly as I came up with the many ways I could get back at him. Walking into my room, I closed the door and flopped onto my bed, pulling out my phone. I know the general rule is you wait a day or 48 hours or something insane to text a girl after going out with her, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her.
Opening a message, I sent her a text. Hey, had fun2nite. Srry for the weather mishap. Want a ride2school n the AM? I hit send and lay back on the pillow staring at the ceiling. A minute later my phone vibrated with a response.
I had fun2. Stop apologizing, its fine. Btw I still hav ur hoodie…not sure if ill give it back tho;) my sis actually has2go n early so im going n w/her and just hanging n the artrm. U can meet me there if u want? Ill bring food:)
