We landed in LA at 2:30 on the Saturday morning. Because where the new band house was we had a 2 hour drive. The new band house was up in the hills that surrounded LA.
"I'm tired mum." Lilly said
"It's okay babe you can sleep in the car." I said
"Okay." Lilly said
We got to the cars me, Con and the kids in one, Michael, Charlotte, Jacob, Edward and Josh in another. Brad, Trist, Sid, Jodie and James in the third car. Then in the last car Ash, Luke and Calum. plus the cases.
We got to the new band house and all the children had fallen asleep. We left them in the car while we got sorted. when everything was sorted and in the right places we got them out of the car and put them into bed so that they could sleep.
Lilly, Casper, Jessie and Jacob were sharing a room one of the 5 rooms upstairs. Me, Connor and Grace were in one of the 3 rooms that were down stairs Brad and Sid and Jodie and James were in the other 2 rooms that were down stairs. Michael and Charlotte were sharing one of the 5 upstairs. Luke and Calum were sharing, Ash and Josh were sharing. Ben and Edward were sharing a room and Trist got the last room to himself.
All the children must have been really tired because none of them woke up until the following morning. But they got up and were ready to go.
"Morning." I said when Lilly, Casper, Jessie and Jacob came into the kitchen on Sunday morning
"Morning mum." Jessie, Lilly and Casper said
"Morning Rhi." Jacob said
"Where is everyone?" Lilly asked
"The 5sos boys, Trist, Brad, Sid, Charlotte and Jodie have all gone shopping. They should be back soon." I said
"Okay." Lilly said
They went outside to find James, Josh and Edward, the only ones that had stayed behind and not gone shopping. Grace was out there as well.
"Hey Rhi." Ben said coming into the kitchen 20 minutes later.
"Hello sweet." I said
"Did you sleep well?" I asked
"Yes thanks. Everyone outside?" Ben asked
"James, Edward, Josh, Lilly, Grace, Casper, Jessie and Jacob are, the others have gone shopping." I said
"Okay." Ben said heading out of the kitchen and going outside to join the others.
While the kids enjoyed playing in the pool and on the climbing frame I enjoyed a back massage from James.
"your both married right?" Edward said
"Yep." Me and james said he was sat on my back
"but not to each other?" Josh said
"Nope." I said
"Then why the hell is he giving you a back massage?" Edward said
"Why not?" Me and James said
"Because you''re not married to each other." Josh said
"So." I said
"Isn't it weird?" Edward said
"Nope." Me and James said
"You worry me sis." Edward said
"Good." I said smiling
"What you have to understand Edward and Josh. Life lesson for you...." James said
"Is that after 17 years of friendship." I said
"Things like this don't mean anything any more." James said
"plus Con doesn't care anymore does he James." I said
"No." James said
"Also life is to short to worry about what anyone else thinks." I said
"How do you guys do that?" Edward and Josh said
"Do what?" Me and James said
"Speak like you know what each others going to say." Edward said
"17 years Edward remember that." I said smiling
The others got home. Jodie and Connor looked at me and James rolled their eyes at us and sat on sun beds next to us.
It was lovely to spend time with everyone and not have to worry to much.
"Hey Rhi we haven't done a cooking video in so long shall we do one?" James said that afternoon
"Yeah I haven't done a video in so long. really need to get back to it." I said
"Yeah same. I've missed doing them." James said
"Yeah same." I smiled
Christmas Eve.
The children put a mince pie and milk out for Santa, rather Jessie, Casper, Grace and Jacob did.
"Mum because we're not in own house will Santa know where we are?" Jessie asked
"Santa knows everything." Edward said
"Yeah Edward's right Jess. Santa knows everything. You could have moved to space and he would know." I said smiling
"Yeah but if you lived in Space the presents would have to come up by rocket because Santa can't go into space." Jacob said
"Said who?" James said
"Santa can go anywhere he wants." I said smiling
"That's so cool." Jessie said
"Yeah it is." I said smiling
"come on guys bed time." Con said
"Can I read to them?" Edward asked
"Yeah if you want." I said smiling
Edward took the kids up to bed to read to them
"What's Louie doing now?" Charlotte asked
"Not sure. But he's hoping to come back down south soon." I said Sadly shortly after new year 2030 Louie had had to move back up north and had been there since. Which was a shame because Lilly an Casper missed him a lot. Jessie doesn't really remember him and Grace didn't come to us until early this year.
"I hope he does come back soon." Jodie said
"Yeah same I miss him." Charlotte said
"Yeah same." I said
Its wasn't late when we went to bed. Edward had fallen asleep on the floor with Jessie sat on his knee and the others around him all fast asleep.
"Come on guys." I said I picked Jessie up to put him in bed. Connor and Charlotte helped get the others into bed.
"Come on Edward bed time." I said helping him to his feet.
"Night." He said going into his room. He's sharing with Ben and even though the age gap is about 10 years the get on really well.
"Night sweet." I said heading down stairs.
We put the presents under the tree then headed to bed.
"You okay babe?" Con said
"Yeah I'm okay." I said smiling
Connor wrapped his arms around me.
"Can't wait to see Ben's Face tomorrow." I said smiling
"Yeah same. going to miss having him around." Con said
"Yeah. Same he's such a lovely lad." I said
"Yeah." Con said
