Chapter 7

~Max pov~
Once everybody left the next day, I went straight to my room. I was massively embarrassed of what I said last night
Go be with your narwhal.
I don't know why I said that, he probably doesn't have feelings for me either. So I plopped down on my bed and started to cry. Making sure Ross doesn't hear me, I buried my face into my pillow.
~Ross pov~
Once everyone left Max ran to his room. I can't stop thinking about what he said last night.
I wanted to watch anime so I walk down the hall to get my blanket from my room, when I hear crying from inside Max's room.
Did I do something wrong?
I knock on the door and I hear him stop crying for a second.
"Hey Max" I say through the door.
"H-hey" he replied.
"Can you open the door?"
"No"
"Why not?"
"C-cause I don't want you t-to see me like t-this"
"Come on Max, you've seen me cry."
"Fine" I hear the door unlock and open. I look at him, eyes puffy, tear stained sleeves, and him hugging a plush narwhal.
We walk over to his bed and sit, he started crying again and leaned his head into my chest.
"Hey what's wrong?" I asked.
"I-its nothing" he stuttered.
"Well it is something or you wouldn't be crying" All I get is harder cries.
~Max pov~
I sat there crying into Ross's chest thinking about what happened last night.
Tell him, he's your narwhal.
"Well something is or you wouldn't be crying" he said. I just cry harder.
"Shh, Max, calm down" he said petting my hair.
"Please, just tell me what's wrong" he begged.
"O-okay" I said. "Last night when I told you I loved you, you thought it was a lie." I said.
"Oh" he said.
We just sat there for a while, me crying, I don't even know what Ross is doing because I didn't want to look him in the eye. I was too embarrassed to.
"D-do you feel the same way?" I asked after a while.
"I don't know, I'm trying to lay low for a bit." He said.
I'm so sorry my narwhal.
"I-im sorry" I say. Not another word came from him. I was tired after all the crying, so I slowly drifted off to sleep, sitting up, still buried in Ross's chest.
