Chapter 19~"The road trip"

            Wednesday, 12:48pm.
      I wake up and see Kaiden snuggled up to my arm but I don't see Brent.
"Where did dad go?" I ask quietly and Kaiden looks up at me.
"I think he's on the floor." He says. He lets go of my arm and looks over the foot of the bed.
"Yup." He says and comes back to me.
"Brent come here."
"I can't, you two pushed me off so I decided to just stay on the floor." I laugh.
"I should probably get up and make breakfast." I slowly try to get out of bed. As I walk past Brent he grabs my hand and pulls me down.
"What do you want?" I ask falling on top of him.
"Just this." He kisses me. I get off of him and walk out of the room.
"Everyone else is just waking up." Justice says walking into the bathroom. I walk downstairs and see Parker and Arianna cuddling on the couch.
"Oh morning." Parker says. Arianna grunts and doesn't say anything. I walk into the kitchen and look through the fridge. I find bacon, eggs, straw berries, kiwi, grape fruit, and English muffins. I put the bacon on a cooking sheet and preheat the oven. Ron walks in.
"Need any help?" He asks stretching out his arms.
"Doesn't matter." I say. He then goes looking through the cupboards and finds a box of pancake mix.
"You can make the pancakes." I say deciding which fruits to cut up. I cut some of it into small pieces for the kids and just leave the rest for everyone else to take care of if they want it. Arianna walks in and she looks Rough. Her red lipstick is no longer visible, her eyes are dark from the smudged eye liner, and her acne is visible. She ties her hair back and turns on the coffee machine. They both help me make breakfast and we talk and Ron decided to crack on egg on the top of my head.

Once everything is ready I bring it into the dining room and everyone comes in looking rough, we all have dark circles under our eyes and scratchy voices.

3:26.
Parker, Arianna, Annabelle, Justice , and Rosely have went back to their own houses. Ron stayed here to help us pack and clean up. Kaiden packs up his room with Brent and I pack up the toiletries in the bathroom and slowly make progress on our bedroom. Ron packs up some of the dishes in the kitchen. I look through the medicine cabinet above the sink and find the pills I needed when I got out of the hospital. I can't believe my own mother tried to kill me. I still have the scars. The ones from five years ago, the one on my stomach and my shoulder. I try to push away the thoughts and continue packing.
"Babe, me and Kaiden are going to bring some stuff over to the new house." Brent says walking in. I nod and go up to kiss him. After I have most of the bathroom packed I stay to clean the toilet then the bath tub.
"Hey mad, come here for a sec." Ron yells. I set down the toilet brush and go downstairs.
"What?" I ask walking into the kitchen, it looks spotless.
"Do you want to go out for dinner, you can't really cook with all of the dishes packed up."
"Oh and we can drop off Kaiden at my place since Roselys getting a babysitter." He adds on.
"Yeah sure." He talks to me about times and how he broke a plate.

      After about an hour of packing we bring Kaiden to Ron's place. We then go to a a fast food chain In-n-out. We go through the drive thru, order, and park so we can eat. I get a text.
678-3245: hey cutie, meet me at twiggs in thirty minutes? ;)
"What the hell." I say taking a bite of my burger.
"What?" Ron asks.
"I just got a text and they want me to meet them at twiggs." I delete the message. We continue to eat.

         Ron takes all the garbage and goes to throw it out. He comes back looking excited.
"What if we went on the road trip tomorrow?" Justice looks at him like he's crazy.
"What? It's good to get the young ones out and we've been stuck in the house." He does have a good point.
"Are you sure? We haven't even talked about this. I don't want our daughter getting hurt." Justice responds quietly.
"She'll be fine, be a little optimistic." Ron says looking back at me.
"Fine." Justice says under his breath.
"We'd be fine to go whenever, it's just Kaiden will have a later start to the school year." I say.
"What if we homeschooled him? It's only teaching him how to write his name, simple sentences, addition, and slowly starting to read." Brent rolls down the window.
"Actually yeah, we'll do that." I grab his hand.
"Someone want to call Parker and Arianna?" Justice says sounding annoyed. Brent pulls out his phone and dials the number. He puts Parker on speaker.
"Hey, what's up?" He says slowly.
"Want to go on that road trip tomorrow?"
"Hey babe!" You can faintly hear him yelling.
"What?"
"Should we go on the road trip tomorrow?"
"Yeah sure- wait what?"
"We're coming." He hangs up. Ron starts driving.
"I'll rent a van in the morning, and do groceries." We start talking about who will do what and what kinds of things to pick up.

Thursday, 6:40am.
I hear the alarm clock go off. I grunt and bury my face under the blankets, I move close to Brent.
"I'll go...get the stuff packed..." He says in a sleepy tone.
"No stay here." I lift my arm out of the blanket in hopes he'll come and lay down.
"We shouldn't of stayed up that late." I laugh a little. As he gets up he lifts the blankets and kisses me forehead. I look at him just in boxers walking over to the dresser.
"But it was fun-" I stop myself from saying anything else. He laughs.
"You liked that?" He says while putting on jeans.
"Maybe." He grins. I make my way out of bed. I walk into the bathroom and have a quick shower.

Kaiden stayed at Ron's place since they were watching a movie and playing together. I start to brush my teeth then put my hair in a bun, I need a hair cut.

After about an hour of talking and lazily packing clothes and other necessary things. We put everything in the car and start driving to Walmart, we pick up toothpaste, boxers/underwear, t-shirts, yoga pants for me, candy, other snacks, and some books. We pay and head to Ron's.

We walk into his place and Kaiden comes running towards me. Everyone's here: Arianna, Parker, Annabelle, and of course Ron, justice and Rosely. Ron gives me a huge cooler and asks me to bring it to the van. We all work together on getting the van set up. We all get in and make sure we didn't forget anything. It's a ten seat van so there's room for all of us. The kids sit in the very back. We decide to go to McDonalds to get something to eat. Me and Arianna go in and order for everyone. We grab the three bags and walk back to the car.
"Okay, now can someone tell me where we're going?" Arianna says while trying to climb into the van.
"I have no idea." Ron says as he's the one driving. I shut the door, sit down and give the kids there food. Ron starts to drive and just goes where ever.
