Montana's pov
"So, are you staying until New Years?" Bailey asked me. I took a sip of my coffee and nodded. We were sitting in a corner of a small coffee house in the city. It was very cute and the perfect spot to catch up with someone. So that's what Bailey and I were doing.
"Yeah, but I think Jacob and I are leaving the next day." I told her.
"Speaking of Jacob," Bailey folded her arms and rested them on the table. My stomach turned and I got anxious of what she was going to ask. I nodded for her to go on.
"Are you guys pretty serious? You know, like you and Chris were?" I sighed. But hearing Chris' name made me smile ad think about how we were so close and what had happened the night before. It was so surreal. I was stuck there in my head thinking about what it would be like if I were with him right now, like we had never broken up.
Bailey snapped me out of my thoughts by waving her hand in front of my face. "Hello?"
"Yeah, sorry. I don't know. Not really," I admitted. She gasped.
"Hey, maybe if you're not that serious you could get back with Chris because there was some obvious tension between you two last night." She said.
I closed my eyes and sighed.

Bailey and I were getting ready for a double date that she had planned with Crawford and Jacob. I would say that I was excited but I'm not.
It's not that I don't want to go out because I do, it's just I wished it was just me and Bailey instead. She talked about getting into a club but I told her that it was not a good idea, seeing what had happened the last time I went to one.
So instead we decided on bowling and pizza.
"You almost ready?" Bailey asked while on the phone with Crawford. I nodded at her and she told him to come over in five minutes.
"Can I come in?" Jacob called from outside of my room.
"Sure!" I yelled.
He opened the door and greeted Bailey before sitting down on my bed.
I stood up and grabbed my phone, shoving it in my purse. "Let's go," I took Jacob's hand and we all went downstairs.

Once we got to the bowling alley we got a lane and our shoes. Jacob and I went to pick out our bowling balls together. I picked a pink one while he took a black one.
"I feel like I haven't seen you at all today," Jacob said as we walked back to our lane.
"I know," I said, nodding.
"Maybe we can do something tonight?" He winked at me and went to fill in our names on the board.
I thought I was going to puke at that moment. We had only done that once. I wasn't quite sure if I wanted to do that again just yet.
I decided to let them put me last on the board for my turn so that I could go to the bathroom real quick.
Once I got there I was met by none other than Brianna Winston. I hadn't seen her in forever.
"Hey! Nice seeing you," she laughed and gave me a slight hug. I winced from her embrace because she was being strangely nice.
"Who are you here with?" I asked her.
"Oh, well. Surprisingly, Chris asked me." She smiled slightly. My eyes immediately widened in shock.
"Are you still sensitive on that? I'm sorry," she apologized.
"No. Don't worry about it." I said with my teeth gritted.
"Okay. Good! I mean, how could he not ask me out?" She gestured to her body.
Aaaand she's back
She left the bathroom after that and I went in the stall and did my business before washing my hands and going out there. I looked over at Chris and Brianna and luckily their lane was all the way at the end.
Chris' eyes met mine and I knew he was just trying to make me jealous. Idiot.
I went back over to my lane and thought to myself, if he's playing, so am I.
I grabbed my bowling ball and asked Jacob to help me out because "I wasn't very good." He gladly offered to help me. He came up behind me and put his hand over mine and we both walked slowly up to the line. I let go of the ball and we watched it as it made it's way towards the pins.
It hit all of them so I had gotten a strike. I looked over at Chris to see if he was watching; he was, and squealed. I hugged Jacob and kissed him on the lips.
"Yay!" I smirked. Chris was just staring with a blank expression.
That'll teach you.
Hand clap for a crappy chapter! I finally updated! Sorry it's taken so long. I have no excuse other than not having any inspiration to write but hopefully I can get back in my zone!
Please comment and vote to show me that you still care about this book!
I love you guys so much!
