Blue was finally asleep. But something kept her paralyzed in the straw bed of the orphanage. She knew if she wanted to leave she had to go now. The fear couldn't hold her anymore. She wanted to be free.
Of course, she could wait two more weeks, and she'd be 18, but she needed to go now. She needed to know. She needed answers.
She rose slowly trying not to wake baby Blue, and did so quiet successfully. She peeked under the bed and grabbed her dark cameo duffel bag. The only thing she had with her was her clothes, watch and bow and arrows. She opened the door to the bedroom with minimal squeaking.
Walking down the hallway she looked at the names engraved in the wall. She stopped at her name, tracing her own sloppy engravement with the sloppy star at the top of the C in her name. With her finger she traced over the G, an single tear on her face. RACE, she traced the rest of her name.
"Leaving?" Keeper Penna asked. "Do't worry, I won't stop you. You need to go." She threw something at her, and Grace grabbed it. It felt like a bag. "Stay safe." Penna whispers, already turning her back.
"I will." She promised

(GRACE'S POV)
And I ran. I was free, I was happy. I felt alive.
And then it was dark. I was screaming and falling into a drowsy trance. Then I was painfully awake, the lights were blinding, and over the annoying buzz I could make out a females low murmur. "I wouldn't be suprised......She will be awake soon.......masks now.........Sus, lucas, Brigell." The womans voice got louder. I looked at her. I must have moved or mumbled or did something to make so much noise, because she looks over at me with a hostile look. The other three stare at me like I am a little lab rat.
